Hello Coven members, I was wondering, do you identify as a White Witch or Grey Witch or other? If you feel uncomfortable with responding, feel free to ignore this post. Part of the reason I created this post was to get a better understanding of what spells, rituals, and articles you guys would be okay with being added to the Coven list.

For me,the choice of color automatically depicts adefinite such as good or evil.I use to be of the mind that it was almost a requirement to associate your practice with one of those traditional colors. As years passed, and my practice evolved, I realized that color assignment for me had nothing to do with what I was doing. Moreover, I choose not to have the label so there are no preconceived notions of what my intentions are or are not.

Interesting, thanks for the insight. That does seem to be a good way of looking at it.

I don’t use any such labels. Magick is just a tool and we can use it in any way that serves ourselves. Ever person that gains access to such a tool must develop a strong internal ethical system that aligns to each persons individual beliefs.

These labels are “good” to serve as a general talking point to those who are new to magick to help them understand and start developing an individual ethical compass. In that sense they have value. I think seasoned more experienced practitioners eventually let go of this strict system.
