Greetings
So everyone has a valid point. You cast a spell, you manipulate energy, the actions of the Universe is altered. So I just want to elaborate a little more on the process of a spell, meaning the three stages of a spell.
You see, in the older practices which probably some aren't aware of is, is that the spell was never just an act of casting it. A spell had structure. It had an opening, a directing of it, and a closing. You miss the last part, you leave something active without control. A bit of knowledge I acquired so I thought I will share in Understanding Spells.
An open spell has no boundaries or clear end point. The intent you set, keeps moving the spell with no direction and then it becomes unstable. You'll feel it. Restlessness in your own space. Your focus becomes scattered. The intent starts to distort and ends up in all the wrong areas. And then you start questioning. It didn't fail, it was never contained correctly. That is why you got to seal your work or Spellwork. Like how a candle is extinguished with intent (that's if you practice candle magick and spells over candles)
Likewise words or incantations rather is sealed within the intent so the spell is not left hanging. Without doing so, you create loose energy and loose energy does not stay neutral. It attaches, it drifts, or it turns back into your own space and depending on your Spellwork, this could be quite unsettling for you.
So, you got to close your spell and not leave them open because it will be like leaving multiple threads open and when that happens all breaks loose.
Close your spell. End it with the same control you started it.
Because a spell isn't just about what you set in motion, it's also about how you contain the intent in the spell until it's done.
Blessed Be and Happy Spellwork
