- Sandpaper (or concrete as a substitute)
Take one piece of the chosen wood and cut to appropriate size then sand it smooth. Say in a strong voice (after meditating) " I call upon the goddess to make this wand suitable for magic purposes. Make it as strong as I and as I continue to gain strength so will it, so mote it be."
