Casting Instructions for 'Love'

To make make someone love you, make the circle then put the white candles in the circle shaped almost like a diamond. Then put the red or pink candle in the center of the white candles then light the red or pink candle, then light the white candles. Clear your mind by Meditating. Then say:
"Please Oh great Goddess Aphrodite
Make him/her love me,
Make (Name) love me.
Bless this spell
So mote it be".
Then after you said the spell extinguish the candles and lie down on the floor in front of your Altar or on your bed then close your eyes and visualise yourself looking at the person and them looking back at you and then a big red light falling from the sky on to the person you are in love with and then the person running to you and kissing you. Then open your eyes and leave the room for 5 minutes or more then enter the room after 5 minutes if you want, and let NO one in until it has been five minutes.
This has the potential to be a spell, but it is flawed. If you do not work with Aphrodite, do not call on her, especially without an offering. There is nothing directing the energy to the person you are casting on. While you could still cast a spell without it, it makes it more difficult to direct the energy. Unless you can perfectly visualize a person, chanting make John/Jane Doe love me does not direct the energy properly. There are tons of people with the same name. This is why a photo, date of birth, middle name, address, personal object or their DNA (hair, nail, blood, spit) improves the spells power. You are giving the energy a direct route to the person.
The five minute intervals serve no purpose. Meditation is not to silence your mind, but to put you in a calm state and let superfluous thoughts go. The visualization after the spell also makes no sense. You should be imagining how wonderful the relationship will be during your casting. Once you extinguish the candles, you ended the spell, so the extra meditating is pointless. Speaking of, it is also strange to put out the candles. Candles are typically meant to burn out completely. The colour of the candle would also effect the spell. You should charge each candle, and preferably carve something into way, like a name or sigil, or anoint it with oil and herbs to further enhance the spell. Unless you were casting over several nights, you would let the candle burn out to fully release the energy. As it burns, you can divine how the spell is going based on the candle flame and wax.
The chant itself is also flawed. You are not saying anything beyond I want my crush. A chant is meant to be repeated to build the energy, but to charge it as well. You would repeat the chant as you imagine your goal and feel the love fill your body while the candles burn. That is a spell. The chant should convey how you feel about them and why you belong together. As is, the chant sounds like a child demanding a candy bar from their parent. Overall, this is a fine first draft of a spell, but not a legitimate one.
