soul mate is a personal belief and not a factual thing, so if you believe in them you could call on a deity to help you. this spell specifically seems to be missing a few steps [meditate, skrying, candles, something] you can't just say ''show me my soul mate'' and it works. magick requires a little more effort, it requires energy, focus, in the case of this spell some way to see your soul mate [black mirror, bowl of water, say before bed, meditate]
