I wanna try it

I would add to this. It's a fine chant, but include your partner, have the two of you do something together [drink wine, eat strawberries, couples yoga, each light a candle representing the other] then say the chant while looking into each other's eyes. This would combine your energies and work better as a couples spell

Sure. If it's a scent that's typically associated with love and desire, so much the better.

Draq is correct. The scent can add extra energy to the spell, especially if the scent is associated with love [like cinnamon and apple] or a scent you personally love.
