This will enchant any item.

Casting Instructions for 'Enchant an Item'

You will need the following items for this spell:

  • Item
  • Pentacle
  • 5 gems earth fire water air life

Place gems around pentacle at each star point. Then place item in the centre and chant: "Earth fire water air - I ask you this in my time of despair. Enchant my item (optional ____ (your element) I ask you especially for your strength so mote it be) earth fire water air."

can this work with out gems and what does the (optional ____ (your element) mean? btw brand new to all of this

It can work without the gems, the gems but sdince you're new, you want any extra power amplifier you can get. if you dont have gems, try salt, earth, a candle (fire), a bowl of water, and incense (air). place the salt at the top point,The others may be placed where you feel they fit. Keep in mind, in ANY spell that YOU perform, the more you can make it your own, the stronger the magic will be.

Technically, yes. If you want to enchant an object, you should cleanse it first. If it's safe, use salt water, but incense smoke or a bell can work too. Then hold the object, charge it with energy as you imagine what you want the object to do, and say a chant that says I want you to do this for me. The above spell can enchant an object, but it is not very good, plus the pentacle and crystals are optional for enchanting objects. I also do not like the desperation part of the chant. Chants work better when you have confidence. If you want to enchant a necklace to protect you, hold the necklace, charge it with energy, think about what makes you feel safe. What are you doing? How are you feeling? Then chant something like protect me from negativity. You can include deities or spirits you work with, but all you are doing is telling the object what it is supposed to do. You want protection, say protect me.
