I read (another) vampire thread on a read-only coven forum. They mentioned a method to chase away a vampire: hold a crucifix. I don't think crucifix can help you against anything if you don't believe in God - meaning: if you are not christian or something similar. Just use symbols and artifacts related to your own religion and believes. P.S. Against vampires...baseball bat/crowbar.
