WALKING UNDER A LADDER
We all know that it's unlucky to walk underneath
ladders, but who really knows why it's unlucky? It
just so happens that in Africa there used to be a
giant spider that looked exactly like a ladder and
would spend all day standing in the jungle. When a
group of tribesmen would go out to gather
fruit, they would find the ladder spider. thinking that it
was a ladder somebody forgot from the last trip, they
would carry it to a tree and climb it to gather fruit. While
most ofthe tribesmen were up on the ladder gathering the
fruit, the spider was eating the other tribesmen that waited
for their turns underneath it! So remember, if you see a
ladder that nobody is using standing around, do whatever it
takes to chop off its legs before it gets the chance
to eat somebody. Everybody will thank you
for saving their lives later.
