I have had some seriously messed up dreams ever since I can remember, but they've recently turned into full-on nightmares. Here are some of them:

DREAM 1
I was in a store and I couldn't find my mom, who I had come there with. I asked the store clerk if she had seen my mom, and she said she left a long time ago. So, I walked outside and down the street. The buildings had black and white checkers painted on them, and everything seemed to move in a very hypnotizing way. There was a couple sitting on a bench, and they were kissing. As I approached them, the man turned towards me and revealed that he was not kissing the lady, he was actually eating. her. face. So, I ran. I ran as fast as I could until I found a very big, fluffy looking dog that was lying on it's side. I gave the dog a hug because I was tired from running, and then the dog turned over on it's side to reveal that he was cut in half.

DREAM 2
I was at the theater, watching some play. My friend, (who I don't think I know in real life.) suddenly ran off. I ran after her, and we both ran out side. It was very dark outside, and the only light we had was neon lights from a gas station. I could hear nothing but droning noises that seemed to be coming from a vending machine. They got very loud at one point, and then my friend ran behind the gas station. I ran after her, but found her lying in a pool of her own blood, as if she had been bleeding for a very long time.

I've had MANY more nightmares, but none as vivid and terrifying as those two. Any thoughts on why I've been having these??
