history of wicca here you ll find some important information about "Wicca"

Wicca is also known as Pagan witchcraft. The followers of the religion are called wiccans, witches or crafters.. It's a recent religion involving the ancient art of magick and rituals, developed in England the first half of the 20th century. It popularised from the wiccan high priest named Gerald Gardner who at the time called it the "witch cult" and "witchcraft," and its adherents "the Wica." from the 1960's the name normalised to Wicca. It's a duotheistic religion worshiping the Tripled Godess and the Horned God but there are some other theological positions in wicca.

We believe in past lives and that we live in different lives to learn lessons and gain knowledge and wisdome. It's been said; "Once a witch, always a witch" generally it seems that the energy that define us and our gifts do not fade as we pass from one life to another. So it is believed that Wiccans are the reincarnations of previous wicthes that excisted. Also those who follow this belief also state that the soul rests between lives in a peaceful place with different names such as the Otherworld, Summerland or the Godess exctases all those names seem to refer on the same thing anyway. Magic though is not used from all the Wiccans but most of them actually use it. We believe that magic is a law of nature.  Aleister Crowley, declared that magic is "the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will". Wiccan are believed to have the full control of the five senses developing a sixth sence as well. Eventhough magic was seperated in 2 fields before (black and white, left and right hand magic) lately witches seem to argue about that and seperate the type from the intention and not the colour since black should not necessarily have any associations with evil. But for candle magic the colours are representative and full with the intent of the crafter so it's not really a colour matter.

The five elements( wind, water, fire, earth and spirit) are also very important because they are the sources of energy. the ability to control them it's just the idea of fully respect them. The invokation of the elements is use in rituals spells, circle casting and much more that cause effects to the physical and spiriual world. Each element has been associated with a cardinal point of the compass; Air with east, Fire with south, Water with west, Earth with north and the Spirit with centre.

There are many rituals within Wicca that are used when celebrating the Sabbats, worshipping the deities and working magic. Often these take place on the full moon or in some cases a new moon, which is known as an Esbat. the circle casting is importan for the rituals so the casters will be fully saved from negativities. The circle casting involves sometimes invocations (to the Gurdians and the elements) Before the circle is closed after the ritual the God and the Goddess is been thanked.

here are some Sabats (wiccan rituals) that are celebrate around the world.
