I'm 17 and I've been learning about the craft for about 6 years now.I spend a lot of my time studying japanese, reading, and listening to music. I've gained alot of experience over the past few years,especially recently. I recently opened my third eye which caused my once weak psychic abilities to gain a little bit of strength. I've gotten pretty good at spell casting. However, I could use a lot of improvement. But, I've gotten used to the way it works. And it seems that spells work a lot faster than they did for me before. To me, using magick means that I can manipulate the world around me to make it what I want it to be (under realistic terms). It angers me to see people making a mockery of magick. Like when little kids try to cast so called "Mermaid Spells". They don't know what magick really is or how it works for that matter. It's nothing like what the media potrays it to be. And like vampires, if they do exist, they're not anything like what they are made to be in movies. Real witches don't fly around on broom sticks and make things happen with a snap of their fingers. So, vampires wouldn't be creatures who live for eternity and have super human strength. But that is what gets a lot of people interested in magick. Myself included (when i was 11), but my image of magick changed once I started to seriously learn about it. When I cast a spell, I think of the outcome that I wish to bring into exsitence, I think of how it might affect those around me, and I try to find ways for it to go wrong so I can try to prevent them. But even so, I know that I'm still a beginner and I hope to learn a lot more through experience. After all, experience is the best teacher.
