Well I have had a real freaky tarot reading today. I do readings here at home all the time but I have never had this happen. If anyone knows why then I would be most interested.
First there was nothing odd about the actural reading - just the usual life stuff.
Here's what happened.
I greeted her at the door and my dog went wild!!! I mean WILD....she is a very calm little thing who never bothers to expend any energy she doesn't have too. She just barked and barked and barked - I had to lock her in the bedroom to shut her up!!
Next things started to become really freaky. I keep a lot of healing crystals in the room. They started to MOVE... now I am not one to see things or even experience them but I can tell you they moved!!! I keep them on my altar and on the table I do the reaings on. The simply fell off!!!! I was getting a bit freaked out but trying to keep calm and not scare the customer away.
Next - and the really freaky part - my candles went out. I always do a protection and call the elements before a reading and light the elemental candles and they ALL went out. The windows were closed and the door. No draught at all.
The last thing that happened was that the crystals I have hanging up at the window started to spin, I couldn't see them as I had my back to the window but the client pointed them out and said that was strange. I looked at them and yup they were spinning around like nobody's business.
After she has gone the crystals stopped spinning, the dog stopped barking and well the candles were already out so I didn't have to blow them out.
What do you make of this???? I have no idea at all. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I am at a loss.
hi Rowan, i know we dont talk often but i had a thought that i thought you might like to hear about, people who are growing their souls (after mastering the basics and letting go of worldly ego often have so much energy pulsating through them that it is impossible to not have wierd things happen, also your home im sure has a wonderfull flow to it, so anything receptive to strong growing energies would be effected. in our home we have lots of these things so that when people come to visit they have lots to play with and keep them entertained, spining things hanging things swinging things, it is amazing how much things move when you specifically want them to or design your home for that purpose ;)
In addition to that, it's quite possible that this woman has some sort of a malevolent/pestiferous spirit attached to her or tailing her. She very well could have brought her little friend, maybe unknowingly, to your home.
I do client work in my house as well, and when i started doing so, i had to totally vamp up my personal protection and household protection a hundredfold from what i was doing previously. Not only do you have more people in and out than before, you are also engaging in psychic work, energy work, and healing work, all which open up the "astral" to some regard and can act as a beacon for uninvited nasties - all of which i'm sure you know.
Just to be on the safe side, i would do a spiritual cleansing of your home including the crystals and anything else that was touched. I would also lay down a protection in your home, stuff that keeps those troublesome energyforms from entering. There's a myriad of ways to do this, and i actually just wrote out some suggestions in an earlier post entiteld "Serious Help" or something like that. Of course there's good energy work to do for your person too, which you certainly use i'm sure.
I would say that if you got a strange or unpleasant feeling then i would trust your intuition. Like Balance said, once you develop these skills, phenomenon like this become more common, but usually it's in more pleasant forms. Best of luck.

I would not call what happened in your home common. Strange things do happen when magic is involved but I believe that the many things going on from this one person was a very big sign.
Personally I think you should have gone with your dogs first impression. You said he was barking but you didn't really say what type. I am assuming that it was not a threatening type more of a look, look, look. He obviously sensed something about this person and was trying to tell you before it got out of hand. Which I believe it did.
Then the crystals on the table falling on the floor. I am guessing the person was near them and their energy pushed them off the table. Like a magnet similar energies can repel from one another but the stronger one stays put and the weaker one moves away.
Next the candles going out, this is tricky because I must say a candle going out can be a lot of different things. I was not there so I can't give an exact opinion but I believe it was probably a sign that it was time to be done.
And the hanging crystals spinning tells me that as time went on the room was filling with energy causing them to spin when it finally reached them.
I do not think this was a bad thing or a good thing. It was just one of those things that will teach you a little more and help the next time something happens. The person you read for may need some help but not the help they came looking for. I can not tell you how many times I have had someone come looking for something and they don't get want they want they get what they need. I have had it happen the other way as well. Many times in my life I have gone somewhere looking for something and ended up with something completely different, but the thing I needed.
I believe the person that you did this reading on could use some help with there shielding and energy work. I was not there but this is what comes to mind as I think about the situation. Learn from this because next time the signs might not be so obvious and they may be warning you of danger.

LdyGry I looked at the other post and cleansed my house and especially the room in which I do the readings. My daughter came in not long after I had done the cleansing and commented about how lovely the house felt so I think that may mean it worked as she has a great perception and intuition for such things. Thank you.
kts thanks for the help. My dog was barking just like you said, with a 'hey look, look, look, she is not a bad person but she needs attention' kind of bark. The woman was very troubled and she was really letting off a lot of negative energy. Now that I look back I should have seen all the warnings but didn't take much notice. In future I will.
Thanks for your help guys and now hopefully i will be a lot more aware in the future.
