I think taht once a coven is made, it should get like 2-3 months to get a certain amount of members(like 5-10 members), or they ge deleted, because there are like 50 covens and half of them have only the priest/priestess as a member.
A. There are so many covens now that people are flipping back and forth. People have a hard time deciding when there are so many.
B. People seem to feel its easier to create a coven with a Slight deviation from one of the other several covens on Topic "X", then to join an existing coven and contribute.
C. As with anything Else in life, some obviously think that its better to start a coven and be priest(ess) dispite little knowledge simply for the Status, then to join the rank and file and Learn.
Pet will delete the covens he deems to be simply a waste of space as he sees fit, in his own time.
I am in that populace of the 1 man coven. Personaly I agree that there should be a large cut down on the amount of covens on this site. Even if that means I have to give up my position, so be it. I would like for others to join my coven. with more numbers I know the Coven of the Agate Athame would be very beneficial to this site. However there are too many options for our users therefore there will always be those covens with only one or two members providing some sort of measure is taken place. I enjoy being the High Priest of my Coven and before I created it there were those who said they where joining. unfortunatly they are gone now and from what it seems they arent coming back...=(
I agree that there are too many covens as well....it seems that many teens are beginning new covens but do not have the knowledge or training to actually teach others. There is a lot of "anime" magic, and "twilight" influence....but these are not what I was understood for this site to be made for. Most people flip back and forth from coven to coven based on who they make friends with. I would love to see many of the covens weeded out and a specific amount and set of them in place.
It should be a VERY huge cut down of some covens.....lately on this mounth i saw some covens like ''Icecream freaks'' or something like this..what does icecream and magick have in common? .....
Well, some ice creams have magickal flavors and the ability to make little kids go nuts. Other then that I have no idea what ice creams and Magick have to do together.
I think that its unfair if we delete covens just because there are too many. What if the coven is about something that is unique but few people know about it? then it's deleted and no one will know about it.
