Solar Gender

We all (or most of us) think of the Sun as being masculine.
this was not always the case. There are probably as many ancient solar goddesses as there are gods. Once important deities in the earliest religious structures, these solar goddesses seemed to have either fade away or been reinvented. Because of this, Their stories were pushed aside, forgotten.

Here are a few of the Sun Goddessed that may have been "forgotten" with the passing of time.

Amaterasu, Sunna, Unelanuhi, Saule, Freya, Shakti, Surya, Walu,
Sekhmet, Sul, Aine, Athena, and even Medussa.
