heart full of sorrow

I have a question for anyone who might help. when i'm in a happy or just a good mood my spells seem to always fail but when i'm a sad mood they all work regardless of the spell and the more depressed i am the stronger they seem, does this seem strange and can anyone help?

It probably has something to do with the mindset you keep. I don't have any problems with spells, but I only seem capable of writing a poem if I'm depressed. I can write happy poetry, love poetry, creepy poetry, or saddening poetry, but regardless of the theme I have to be in a state of depression in order to write it properly. It sounds like it may be the same/similar with you and spells.
