Crystal Life and Bonding

Life
Perhaps it is merely a religious belief, but I have seen people who did not believe in the life of crystals bond with their crystal so I consider it a fact that crystals are alive. They give off emotional energy, they have feelings just like we do. They have life energy, they have a spirit just like we do. They deserve respect just like we do.

Each crystal has a name. Sometimes they'll choose a new one for new people, for example they may choose a name in Japanese for a person who only speaks Japanese while they may choose a name in Spanish for someone who only speaks Spanish. Often the name will have a similar meaning however. My crystal's name happens to be Morwen. It is Tolkien's Elvish and means Daughter of Darkness. Like me, she hates the light.

As you may have noticed from my wording, crystals also have gender. You can sometimes tell by appearance, but sometimes not. A female crystal is more likely to have "babies" or smaller crystals formed around her base. A male crystal is more likely to be solitary and the nearby crystals would be attached to the surface rather then the main crystal. However, that is not definite. Sometimes it can be the other way around. The best way to know for sure is to bond with your crystal and get to know him/her.

Crystals are intelligent. Although they do not move, they are sentient beings.

Bonding
Bonding with a crystal is just like bonding with a human. It may take time to build trust and friendship, or it may happen within hours of having met. Some people take time, some people hit it off right from the start. So here is my advice in bonding with your crystal.

First, when picking your crystal, let your feelings guide you. Pick the crystal that seems to have picked you, one that seems to call out to you. One way to be sure is by holding it in your palm. If the crystal likes you your palm will tingle. If not, it might not. The tingling sensation is the crystal's energy blending with yours.

Second, keep it with you. Whether it is in a pocket, on a necklace, whatever, keep it with you. A necklace may be most preferrable as that sets it close to your heart chakra. Crystals, like any living creature, desire attention and interaction. Leaving it alone in a box is a sure way to break any chance of bonding.

Third, talk to it. Even though crystals commune telepathically, speaking out loud can help you be heard until you have learned to commune telepathically as well. When listening, trust that the little thoughts or feelings that do not seem like you are the crystal. If you're in doubt, meditate on it. Meditation can make things more clear.

And that's it. Everything else I could tell you is common sense; be respectful, be polite, be kind, be caring, etc.

A word of warning: if you insult, upset, disrespect, or otherwise hurt your crystal it will retreat into it's core whenever you are around. Like humans, they do not enjoy being around people that are mean or rude to them.

Safety
Allot of people don't think about it, but crystals can have their life threatened as easily as we can. Cats in general can sense spirits and a crystal is a spirit that can't run away- it appears to be defenseless prey. While a cat can not nourish itself through the spirit, it can seperate the spirit from the crystal which is the same as killing it. This does hurt the crystal. So keep cats away from any crystal you care about.

Another way a crystal may be injured is by touching it's tip. The point at the bottom/top(according to how it's held) can mess with the spirit's energy if touched. It may be considered a weak spot. Touching it is like when someone touches an injury on a human, it does not feel good. So don't do it.

Purification is another safety precaution to take. From what I have seen, most crystals favor salt baths(sea salt only). Even if it is already cleansed, keeping a bowl of sea salt to hold the crystal in will make it happy. Other ways to cleanse include rain storms, burying the crystal, rinsing it off, smudging it, and letting it soak the light of a full moon. Trust that the crystal will tell you which way it favors.

Healing
Once bonded with a crystal, the crystal's spirit may enter your physical body to help you heal when you are injured. Certain crystals do better with certain body parts, but once you have bonded with a crystal any crystal can heal any body part. Furthermore, if you have bonded with the crystal you may ask it to heal certain parts that you feel a discomfort in such as if you have arthritis in your wrists you may ask for extra healing in your wrists.

Crystal deaths are rare although they do happen. Most often once attacked or injured they will retreat into the core of the crystal where they will be safe to heal. Other crystals can help an injured crystal heal, but when other crystals are not available a salt bath will help.

Other Notes
I was recently informed that a healer in Europe diagnosed problems via aura. One day a women came in with a crystal, the healer saw the flaw in her aura and also saw a little spirit connected to the crystal reaching out to heal that spot. Once I can get the name of that healer I will post it here, until then consider it a rumored event that supports what I have explained.

wow i am admittedly very ignorant when it comes to crystal and stone energies and this just peaked my scholarly interest...and also made me feel bad about the crystal i have(and love) tucked away in a drawer...time to bust out my sea salt and give them some tlc, i will try to record my experience and relate it back to you all since it will be a new one for me.
