I thought maybe it was just a small coincidence but, when I use magick, even minor things, earwigs seem to be near me about 5 minutes later.
I did a spell to relax the house because, everyone seems stressed and we are moving soon.I finished and as I was cleaning up my cat kept poking at something and I saw an earwig. I am very afraid of them, so I screamed and then I killed it out of fear.
Then I was looking up spells yesterday and I went into the bathroom and a very large earwig decided to stay on the counter. I didn't kill that one, he got away.
The most recent one was about 20 minutes ago. My dog had to go pee so I let her outside and followed her. I saw a shooting star and wished for something, although I don't really do a ton of wishing and it was so simple. My dog wanted to go in and we went in and she went to sleep. I walked in to check if the door was locked and this huge earwig was on the door and I killed it.
I wanted to know if anyone thinks it might be a sign or something. Maybe it isn't. They just seem to be popping up when I have anything to do with magic or wicca.
Thanks for the help :)

"The earwig is the perfect mother"
"The earwig is virutally alone among the nonsocial insects in showing parental care"
"The earwig is almond shaped, the symbol of virginity and the uncreated goddess, Mother of God, White Goddess, born from sea foam."
There is a ton more about the earwig being symbolic of energy in Irish belief. It is also called an "ear whisperer".
Many cool things. Check it out. Chapter II speaks of earwigs and their symbolism.

This was the only good resource I found and it's pretty thorough.
i was once told they got the name because in medieval times, they'd put them in your ear as torture. earwigs cant back up very well so the only way is forward, through the brain, and out the other side ;)
omg, wel here is my experience: i was doind magik then after i climbed up my bunk bed and saw a weird bug on the wall... i killed it and then went on this site and was looking at the forums and saw ur comment... i then looked earwigs up... it was an earwig that i killed! i have never seen one in this state and my family never had... until this 1 popped out of no where! >.<
I have also had significant spiritual connections with earwigs. The link you provided doesnt seem to be active anymore. Do you remember what the article was called so I can read it?
