Look i have been here longer then most people on this site, the problem is the strict rules i understand spammers but come on this is a site for talented people to express theirselves and they can't when people are telling them how to type. Really now magic wasn't formed around strict rules. Now can everyone quit being so picky about what others say.

The site has progressed and changed over time. However, I do not think the rules are strict- nor are they hard to follow. It is not that hard to type correctly. In fact, it should be easy for most members to get around the site and never have to worry about getting in trouble if they've simply read the rules and understand them. Rules are in place for a reason.
Are the rules really that strict? The Forums virtually have no rules surrounding them at all and the chatter rules are preety much easy to follow. Don't spam and bring up fluffy topics etc.
I think "fluffy" people may not always be wrong. Now its obvious they are fluffy if the idea they say is clearly straight from fiction, but if it is a debated topic they talk about then they can't be labled "fluffy" right off the bat unless they derive their "facts" from fiction (like fiction books, movies, tv shows ect...) if they state facts from a more reliable or otherwise "not proven wrong" source eg:
Topic: vampires
Source: www.vampirewebsite.net
Then they maybe right so therefore can't be called "fluffy" or even "wrong" they simply need to be heard out and discussed with about the topic. Case closed
I agree their are losses to the magical community by the predominance of a danger of being called "fluffy". However most on the site tend to overestimate it and think that like so much else in life is some how unfair. In my experience these rules are very beneficial. Sadly a large percent of those on here would run wild with stories of how they are demons or vampires for kicks and ruin the community. Their is some truth that magic in theory does not have strict rules and that has always been my view I tend to think that with how far we have come nothing is impossible just improbable.
Very well said Jakob. I am not at all for text type it annoys me and it is unproffessional, however, I know a lot of people come on here from foreign coun tries and their English is not up to scratch, but all people do is bully them about their typing errors, thats near enough racist to me and this is from so called earthly friendly people.
