No. They won't work. You may be able to have minute influence on elements, but you wouldn't be able to have any larger range of manipulation, nor conjuring, as described in any kinesis.

Although telekinesis is possible, it is not probable to harness and control, and if someone can, they were either born with it, or in my opinion, ascended their spirit through enlightenment of some kind. So the likelihood of you grasping such ability is far below 1%. I believe that if we so happen to become one with our spirit (subconscious), we would be capable of performing the feats we only hear were done from ancient texts and oral tradition such as Moses parting the seas. I believe it is rooted deep in the subconscious and this is why there is quite a lot more physical paranormal activity around children/teens going through puberty. There is no spirit involved, it is their wild extreme emotions causing the chaos. But it is still subconscious, which is why everyone see's it as separate from the child's influencement. So as you can see, not very controlled at all. Why? Because a child is far from capable of harnessing their own conscious thoughts/emotions much less their subconscious ones.

Here is an actual group that studies such phenomenon. If there was nothing to study, and it was totally impossible, I'm sure Princeton University wouldn't fund it.
