Hey I'm new here and really want to get started on some of this but I need help with the basics

I'm glad that you have decided to take a grasp on learning the basics. Remember that it is NOT bad to learn it, but to use it depends on the time and situation.

Any basic material that you do will not count against you.

The first part of learning I would recommend is meditation. Being able to control your thoughts it very important. If you are not able to, you will not be able to learn quickly, or at all.

Take a moment, sit in a dark room or take a bath. Enjoy your time alone, and ask your god for the ability of patience. The most important factor is patience.

Unable to obtain patience, you are not able to obtain yourself.

If you're new here, there are a couple of places you can go to get started. If you look in the bottom lefthand corner of this page you'll notice a "Help" section. Under it, you'll find the FAQs, Newbie Central, and Tips. These are great to check out if you've never reviewed them before. You can also scroll up to the top and click the "Articles" tab. It will take you to the featured articles- which are great for learning about getting started and so on.

If you're interested in the basics, try typing "the basics" into the search bar. It will bring up articles and forum threads relative to those terms and you can find a lot of help there. Here's a forum thread to get you going:
