Exercise: Asking for a Dream Visit from a Loved One in Spirit

What you will need for this exercise:

  • Your mind in a relaxed state
  • A quiet environment

Before we try to communicate with spirits, we must shield our energy and call in our guides.

  1. Using your mind, call out to your loved one using the person's birth name and birth date.
  2. If you do not have this specific information, you may also think of the person.
  3. Fill your head with warm memories about the person and replay them over and over in your mind.
  4. Once again, call out to the person with your mind by thinking of their name three times.
  5. Ask the person to visit you in a dream.
  6. Write down the initial date that you asked for your dream visit. You can send your loved one a mental request each night before bed.
  7. When you get your dream visit, write down the date.
  8. Take note of how long it took for the person to send you the dream visit.

Once you receive your dream visit (it could take a day or several days), send your loved one loving thoughts of gratitude. Leave the door of communication open for them to visit in a dream state at any time. Thank God for the divine spiritual connection you have with your loved ones.

Dream Journaling

Hey everyone back again with another tip and helpful thread. Have you ever had problems remember your dreams? Well i have an idea that many others have proably posted but i thought i would post this. Many of us don't remember our dreams 60% of the time. So what i find helpful is to have a dream Journal.

Dream Journaling is the process of writing or drawing your dreams so you can understand them. Some dreams have messeages that are sent from spirits, some are in a distant future. Still it is always best to keep a record of your dreams. I always feel like dreams are like a movie theres a beginning, middle and an end.

Some people write down there dreams, others can draw them. I think i prefer to draw, but i like both.

Before you go to bed keep a dream journal next to you so that when you wake up you can try to record the dream you saw. You never know what you might dream of.

Dreams

In truth everything is a dream/programmed illusion/virtual reality experience created by a consciousness source of light which set up layers/dimensions/grids/matrixes through which souls experience simultaneously. These programs follow patterns called Sacred Geometry and repeat in loops, creating the illusion of linear time.

In the slower frequency movement of third dimension, one experiences linear time. As one moves their conscious awareness into dreamtime, released from the physical body, grid of experience, physical body, one experiences with time, and is able to move from grid program to grid program, in what often appears as 'flying'.

The soul is able to consciously able to view one or more grid programs at the same time, splitting the consciousness, moving in hyperspace, quantum physics, with a greater understanding of the dynamics of its total experiences.

While in a physical body, it takes most of your conscious effect to focus on events around you, as they are guided by emotions, the duality of the physical experience, which is bi-polar. This mirrors swings in emotions and constant changes in environment as all grids are in flux. In the physical, the goal is always to create balance. Many dreams are laced with emotions masking their true meaning.

A dream can warn us of potential danger.

Things that trouble us often crystalize in a dream.

Everyone who sleeps, dreams, including animals.

When you take a nap, you are ten times more likely to remember your dreams. For example you dream about meeting a partner. When you 'wake-up' that dream can continue. When you meet that person in the physical you get a deja vu feeling or say, "I dreamed about you, and it was all so real (surreal)!"

When you wake from a dreams, your consciousness can remain part of that experience.

On average, we sleep for a third of each day. Take your age and divide it by 1/3 and you will know how many years you have been asleep, on the other side, in this lifetime. For example, if you are 30 years old, you have slept for 10 years.

Many dreams bring messages, some part of your soul's evolution. Dreamtime is often a place of transformation for the soul where it awakens afterward enlightened about the next step on its journey into awareness. This is a time where the soul and mind process the path of the questor who returns in higher frequency of thought and personal mission.

If you can perceive of your dreams as projected illusions in which you are experiencing and learning, then so too shall you look upon your experiences in the physical, and unlock the mysteries of humanity and your purpose for being here. From the point of view of dreamtime and other realms of conscious awareness, our reality is but a projected illusion in linear time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dream Categories

Projections
Dreams are projections, just as we are projected thought experiencing in physical reality. Dreams can be comprised of still images where you may see a face and telepathically receive information from that person or they can be animations wherein you view animated scenes.

Anxiety Dreams, Nightmares
These dreams often are fear-based and result in waking up with sweats and heart palpitations. There is generally a situation going on in the person's physical life that results in such dreams. Heed their warning and create change.

Creative Dreams
Within your dream you are shown something you are to create, perhaps something affecting the destiny of humanity. Famous inventors, writers, artists, and musicians were inspired by their dreams.

Color vs. Black and White Dreams
Some people feel that as a dream manifests into third dimension it moves from black and white to color definition. Other believe that black and white dreams are dreamtime but dreams in color are parallel experiences. Further, dreams in black and white indicate an event in the far future, then same scene later manifesting as a dream in color meaning it is getting closer to physical reality.

Episodic or Sequence Dreams

Your dream is like a movie, involving a story that goes on and on in sequential order.
Ellie's Sequence Dream of Creation, September 2004

Flying Dreams

These dreams are common. You fly free, escapism, ascension to source, time travel or move through grid realities.

Lucid Dreams

As consciousness is evolving to higher frequency of light and sound, so too are our dreams. With this comes the lucid dream in which you can control and alter the events in your dreamtime by realizing that you are dreaming. If you become a lucid dreamer, this does not mean that all of your dreams are of this type. Dreams vary as with all things your consciousness experiences.

There are many methods to use to create lucid dreaming. Here are just a few. Before going to sleep, tell yourself think: "I am going to have a lucid dream." This phrase will remain in your physical consciousness. When you dream, it will activate and you will know you are dreaming. Next you must find a symbol that when seen in dreamtime allows you to recognize that you are dreaming. Let's say your symbol is the 'sun'. Whenever you see that symbol in a dream, your mind will realize that you are dreaming and begin to interact freely.

For example ... you are dreaming that you are walking on the beach on a nice sunny day. You look up and see the sun! Your mind relays the message to you, this is all a dream. You now can stop alter the events of this scene, projection, or move to another. The important things is expanding your conscious awareness to the point that you perceive the dream as a dreamtime experience. This takes practice, but can be done. It will help you realize what is occurring on the other side when you sleep and the nature of dreams as projected illusion.

Precognitive or Prophetic Dreams
You dream about events that manifest in the future usually within 3 weeks if not immediately. These can be personal or universal messages. You may also see your future partner, your children, a place you will live, or future events for the planet.

Repetitive or Recurring Dreams
You have the same dream over and over as if a message is being sent from the other side, which you have to understand. Very often it is you sending yourself a message, often a warning.

Sexual Dreams
Sex plays a major part in our dream world for many of us. This depends of its importance in our everyday lives. It's a powerful driving force, like hunger and ambition. While we're awake, sex is ruled by social restrictions and conventions, but in our dreams, even the most timid of us can have explicit and excitingly sexy dreams once our repressed selves are asleep. Sexual dreams are very coming during puberty.

Shared Dreams
You remember the events in your dream, that involve another person. At the same time, another person in your dream remembers the same events

Spirit Dreams
Messages are given by those who have crossed over or a religious icon. These are often the soul of someone you knew, guiding your journey or telling you that they are okay on the other side.

Teaching Dreams
Dreams can have layers that unfold over many days. In that time, Spirit can teach you through symbols of light or other means that raise your level of awareness. Shamanic dreams often teach lessons.

Tunnel Dreams

You experience yourself moving through a tunnel into a white light or returning from the light. This may be accompanied by the sound of whooshing water. You may meet someone, or meet yourself, at the end of the tunnel, much like a Near Death Experience. While moving through the tunnel, you may move alone or see others. You can fly quickly or slowly. You can experience emotions with this dream journey, which often brings transformational messages.

Universal Dreams
These dreams are related to information you receive from the collective unconscious, the grids of our experience, akashic records, hall of records, that which creates the reality in which we live. Whenever a dream presents symbols of a cosmic nature, in all probability it is a representation of a Universal dream. Such dreams are reflective of religious experiences, and denote changes that are to occur at some future time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

External and Internal Factors That Affect Dreams
Just about anything external or internal can be incorporated in your dreams and influence the events. Sometimes the influences are positive while other times they create fear and anxiety as they are warnings.

- Crystals can enhance dream state in many ways, depending on the type of crystal and how it is used. It can be placed near your, under the pillow, or worn.

- Books ?? Photos,

- Audio tapes or other recordings playing while you sleep

- Music

- Sound Machine that creates a soothing noise, water, white noise, other

- Astrological Influences, Moon, Depends on your chart

- Scents, Herbs

- Health issues

- Diet

- Chemicals in the Body

- Emotional Issues

- External stimuli while you are sleeping, Ex. It is raining heavily outside, so water could be incorporated in your dream. The soul can take information from anything it is experiencing and incorporating it into your dream.

- Events occurring prior to going to sleep: Media (TV, Radio, Video), something you have read, a conversation, or other physical activities can impact on your dreams

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before and After Dreamtime
As reality is programmed illusion, you can preset your programming for dreamtime, before you go to sleep.

The power of suggestion often works when it comes to dreams.

If you want to remember at least one dream, tell yourself that before going to sleep.

If you do not want to have scary dreams, before you go to sleep, mentally state that, "I do not want to have scary dreams." This is good to do when your life is in turmoil.

If someone is attacking you in dreamtime, tell your spirit guides to protect you, and never allow that person near you. Example: An old lover who wants to contact with you in dreams.

It is often helpful to review the events of your day before going to sleep, as if watching a movie. This is helpful if you wish to work out issues during dreamtime.

After you wake up, it is best to remain still and focus on your dreams experiences.

Dreamwalkin

I am starting a thread on dream walking for those interested. it will take a few threads as it is a long description.

The process of Dreamwalking is the concept of walking dreams to make control and understanding of other people of ability, easily, or to get places. This process uses focus and astral plane projection. To make this process work just focus on the idea of projecting your mind into the astral plane with a purpose. Then, feel a shift happen to you to the dream plane, by feeling a lighthearted feeling or happy thought of what you will achieve while focusing on the 'being there' in the astral dream plane. Now let your mind rove through peoples thoughts and dreams as it needs to with your direction of desire, need and thought.

The desire to remain undetected is the utmost necessity, so imagine a gray shield around you to make yourself unseen. The other thoughts and imagination will make the actions happen that you desire, the thought of direct action will occur a direct action. You must understand that the moment of actively doing this, you will be partially blind. The reason is because you make your vision as though it was from another dimension and sometimes from other people's eyes. Another fact of this is that you need to understand what dreams are actually meaning as in dream translation. Nothing in dream is as it seems. It will take some understanding of them to get the actual picture.

Dreams are one of the most important things for a magick practitioner and even non practitioners, dreams are a way for the universe or spirits to talk to you and let you know something that you should. Even spirit guides contact you through dreams the first time to ease you into the knowledge of their existence.

Dreams are a great way to get visions, many practitioners get visions in their dreams which later appears as deja vu. Some practitiones also use dream walking or travel to contact others and speak to them. Dreamseers use dreams to learn more about the world by walking the world by sharing the minds of animals and absorbing dreams of others as they think of it.

Dreams are also a great way to gather energy and gain purpose before doing a spell, you can do this by dreaming about the end result you want from the spell, seeing it happen, much like meditating. Dreams are a powerful tool for those who know how to use it. Practitioners of the old ages were powerful dreamers and i hope i become one too, dreams are where you can escape the world of the waking, into a world of your own where everythings possible.

DREAM RECALL

Believe it or not you can learn to recall most all your Dreams. With these simple techniques you can start remembering dreams within the first or second night of practice. It's sort of like self hypnosis in a way. You are simply making suggestions to your mind before you are completely asleep. This state of mind is called the borderline sleep level. It is when your brain is most likely to absorb the suggestions.
They say that certain foods can cause bad dreams. Well I don't know if that's true but, I do know from personal experience that when I eat cheese or drink milk, I seem to have more intense dreams. Not necessarily bad dreams. Then again, sometimes when you eat food before bedtime that gives you indigestion, it might seem that it is causing you to have dreams. This is do to the fact that the indigestion is keeping you slightly awake. You know that borderline sleep level I mentioned earlier, so you are slightly aware of these dreams. There is one other thing to consider. If you are having intense dreams and they are in color then more than likely you are having a OBE. Out-body-experience or otherwise known as Astral Projection. We are not going to get into that for right now. We will on another page. All right let's get going! There are 4 easy steps to this. That's it!

1. Preparing for Bed : Try to get the body as relaxed as you can. If you have to stretch or even do Yoga all the better. You can even meditate to clear your mind, so that that you are more prepared for the next step. You don't have to eat or refrain from eating before bedtime. You may do as you like. Try experimenting with eating different foods before bedtime and see if you get any different results in the end. Make sure you have a pen and pad handy to write with next to the bed.

2. Programing : This is the most important part. When you get to that borderline sleep level (which is right before you are completely asleep) you must tell yourself over and over again that you will remember all your dreams and you will wake up after each dream and write down your experience. If you don't like having to repeat all that then try tape recording yourself saying these things. Make sure that you tape at least 10 - 15 min. worth. That should be sufficient.

3. Taking Notes : This is also very important. If you successfully wake up
after each dream, then you must write down everything you can remember in detail. Write down whether the dream was in color or black and white. This is why we will keep a pen and pad next the bed. Make sure not to put it in the bed with you. You don't want to end up stabbing yourself in your sleep. Then you must try to go right back to sleep. Keeping the pen and pad handy. Hopefully you will go right into another dream and repeat the process.

4. Reviewing the Night : Now it is time to review the night. You will be amazed at how many dreams you actually had that night! I usually find that I have 10 - 15 dreams a night and sometimes more. Everyone dreams and everyone dreams many times a night, they just don't know they do until they try something like this. Make special note of dreams that are in full-blown color, for you will want to reference them once you start studying Astral Projection.

Beyond Dreaming

technique developed by Joe H. Slate at Athens (Alabama) State University for "true dreaming," it specifies a certain goal and then focuses the dream experience upon it. Beyond Dreaming not only promotes psychic dreaming, it activates the subconscious resources required for successful achievement of your stated goals. Beyond Dreaming generates a powerful anticipation of success so essential to the achievement of both personal and career goals. Beyond that, the dream can literally unleash the subconscious resources required for your complete success.

Step 1. Formulate your goal and record it in your dream journal. Remind yourself that your dreams are sources not only of psychic enlightenment related to your stated goals; they can connect you to the subconscious sources of power required for successful goal achievement.

Step 2. During the drowsy state preceding sleep, review your goal which can range from very general to highly specific. Remind yourself that your dreams will become channels for information and power required to achieve your goal and that upon awakening, you will have full recall of the dream experience.

Step 3. As your dreams unfold, flow effortlessly with them while intervening as needed to focus them on you stated goal.

Step 4. Upon awakening, record your dream experiences in your dream journal.

Step 5. Take time to reflect on your dreams and their relevance to your stated goals while keeping in mind that dream messages are often symbolic in nature.

While you can ask others, its always convenient being able to interpret your own dreams, and having guesses, even if you'd like to consult another for their imput.
Dreams have always managed to entwine themselves to our pasts, present and the future ahead. Its always good to have an idea of what they mean, even if it turns out to be something else. I'll start off with basic symbols and their multitude of meanings.

Seeing people you don't know in your dreams can range from your subconscious interacting with you, to people you have not met. If they get violent with you, this could be turmoil within yourself, something you need to change to move on or something you are not happy with.

Seeing people you do know in your dreams suggests a strong bond.
If someone you know is ignoring you in your dream, or getting violent with you, you may be getting warned of some turmoil, or mixed feelings. Getting a romantic dream with these people, could simply mean you'll be getting closer to them, or there may be a bond forming, or a 'crush' coming from either one of you.

Giving birth or having a newborn in a dream often means a new beginning, perhaps you'll start a class or get into a new hobby.
Already having children in dreams but the feelings being good with them, could mean responsibilities you have or could be taking on that you're harmonious with. If the feelings with the child are negative, they could represent something in your childhood you miss or regret, but you need to overcome it to move on.

Dying in dreams often mean new beginnings, or the 'death' of a certain time in your life or a chapter that is over.

Animals in dreams are so very broad, and difficult to get into. Each animal has its form of symbolism coming through traits.

Dreams when you're running away from something, but feels like you're "running through glue" like you can't get away fast enough, could be a responsibility or a negative event that you can't get out of. You'll overcome it.
If you're running after something with the same effect, it could mean you're rushing too much into it, and you need to take your pace.

Exploring large cities can mean finding new knowledge, with much to learn with visual interest. Getting lost in a city, could mean too much to take at one time, you need to pace yourself and regroup.

Exploring nature and abandoned structures can mean a throwback to nature, its a time for you to go out and explore and feel comfort within yourself.

Interpreting your own dreams needs a sense of what is the negative and what is the positive, having a strong connection with yourself helps. If you need help interpreting your own dreams, don't be afraid to message me :)
