Help with greek

Is there anyone who would be willing to help me convert to Hellenism? I belive in the gods and I have read online but Its hard to grasp what I should be doing, I feel like what I really need is someone to help me and I have been praying to the gods (at least what I think is praying, like I said I dont know how or anything) to help me find something that would help me completely convert and I stumbled on this site by complete accedent. If anyone would like to help please let me know!

I do not know much about Hellenism, but I do think you should do some more research on what that path is actually about before you go deciding that you want to convert. Maybe buy a book on it too gain a better understanding of what that path means and the beliefs that it holds. If it makes sense to you and feels true then that's when I believe you should convert if you wish to do so.

The Iliad is a good source, and try Edith Hamilton's Mythology, which should be found in PDF form online. There is also a book called Hellenic Polytheism: Household Worship Volume I. It is a very informational book. I hope I helped!

Walter Burket is a great writer,he has a book which is called "Greek Religion" and I highly recommend it.

Mythology helps us to be approach the present and being of the gods and helps us to understand who we really work with / worship so before go into any devotional work we must have a basic knowledge of it.

But you must understand that hellenismos isn't all about myths.

there are two types of Hellenism. there is Hellenic Polytheism which is more or less the official Hellenic path. they follow the Old Ways. the ways, teachings, spells, and rituals that the Ancient Greeks practiced. then there is the second type. this is the one i follow. the Solitary Hellenics. meaning you dont follow the old ways though you can use them. you make your own spells. and practice your own rituals. the more you study and research, the more you grow. you can choose a Patron God or Goddes, or pray to them all depending on what circumstance or situation you need help with. say for instance you need a little boost of power for your magic. you would pray to Lady Hecate. say you need a little luck? you would pray to Lord Zeus. or say you need help studying for an exam for school. you would likely pray to Lady Athena. so on and so forth. i do hope i was of some assistance and if you have any further questions on the subject of Hellenism or the so called "mythology" please feel free to message me and i will help you to the best of my abilities.
