You can also research on what herbs, materials, scents/aromatherapy, colors, atmosphere, elements, crystals and gems can be healing if you work with them. Such as water, copper, clay, aloe, etc. Even sound frequencies can encourage healing, such as a cat's pur, or binaural beats! Music in general. Food that can also promote regeneration and healing!

What, in your personal experience, is healing? Think about what this means in any sense of the word. What are some things that can be healed and where does that fit with you and your practice? The answers here are diverse and will hold more meaning with you than a simple guide we can give, and you can begin developing your understanding of healing practices (we can even bounce things back and forth on this thread to help flesh that out).

Ever since I was little, I was most comfortable playing the healer or other support type in any video games I would play with my father or my brother. I always thought, "if I could ever learn healing in real life, that's what I would do." Fast forward to my teenage years where I "discovered" occultism to be a thing in my life and I found myself in a most peculiar situation; of all the magical and spiritual practices I could learn, I had no desire or capability to learn healing. For many years, it didn't seem like a thing that I could do, let alone develop. And yet, this stint in my practice later revealed itself to be an alternate understanding of healing, that I'd been practicing it in my own way for many years without realizing it. This is not an understanding I likely would have had if I wasn't "blocked" for many years prior.

Part of the issue that made me feel I was blocked off from learning healing was my prior exposure to what it was "supposed" to be and not being told that it could be any different for anyone else. People treated it like a simple matter that anyone could do, but then didn't actually give any instruction on how to begin beyond offering common techniques. I'd love to delve more into that when I have enough motivation to finish saying what I want to say.
