What can I do with a magic/enchanted feather?

Well smudging for one.

Smudging is a native american practice, and practicing it without being a native is an issue if you do not wish to appropriate a culture. For one, I would just use the feather in charms or as a talisman, or to put out candles.

Funny that I saw this post, this year I have been totally obsessed with feathers. This Spring while walking in the park, the Canada Geese were in their Spring moult. I managed to collect a huge bag of large wing feathers, I froze them in the freezer to kill any parasites. Later I sprayed them with varnish and painted protective eyes on them with acrylic paint. Others, I painted owls and eagles on them and others had Cats eyes. They turned out beautifully and I am giving them out for Yule presents.
I also made two Smudge fans, one I kept and the other I gave to my Daughter in Law and together we smudged her house. I am not native but she is. I don't believe you have to be native to know how to smudge, it is just a method to clear your house and self of negative energy.
Feathers represent the element of air and look beautiful on your Altar. I consider them to be a gift from the Goddess, others consider them to be a gift from the angels as a sign that you are being looked after.
