Hell doesn't exist, and these portals certainly don't either.

I've only encountered thoughts like this in two places: the first is a similar belief in the mormon church. And the other was in the book "Inferno" by Dante, where hell was divided into seven rings.
(Sidebar: I think my favorite literary portrayal was in "Memnoch the Devil" by Anne Rice.)Lol.
I'm sure none of this is helpful, but you should take a glance at "inferno".
