werecats?

weve all heard about were-wolves but i was just wondering is their such a thing as a were-cat?

It's possible; our Earth should be containing many more things than just werewolves, witches, etc.

I think werewolves are just the most popular form of therianthropy. Some animal-otherkin refer to themselves as Therian, but therianthropy is an ancient tradition that most tribes worldwide have taken up-- involving many more other species that the wolf.

They don't all sound as pretty. "Werewolf" is nice and alliterative. ;-)
I've seen some claim 'werecat' or 'weretiger' though... but never "wereracoon"-- usually "therian racoon(or other species)" for some reason.
