Becoming a demonologist?

I'm not sure if this is the right category, but how does one become a demonologist? I love demonology, and more often times then not, I am fascinated to learn about demons. Although, upon reading I see demonologists have to go to Catholic based schools, as I'm not Catholic so is it still possible for me to become a demonologist?

To earn the title of a demonologist you just have too learn a lot about demonology. Demonologist are just simply studiers who study demons and I woukd assume you could take on that titile as soon as you know a lot about them. But as a professional career or something i would assume going to a school like you said. That would be your best bet.

I love reading about demons, so I guess you can say I part-take in demonology. Haha. Lorraine Warren is the most known demonologist. However her and her husband investigated (she still is about it) paranormal activities. I personally would love to learn about it and actually teach people about demons.

Through personal experience, I don't think all demons are evil, they just carry black energy. I've dealt and spoke with 'demons' and they don't seem evil to me, even though their energy, is black.

Usually Demonologists and others who study the 'occult' springboard into the field through degrees in Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology, and/or Historical anthropology. It depends on their own approach and understandings of the occult and how they feel it applies to the human experience.

So in short, if you want to make a career of it then expect a lot of study into history and the humanities. ^_^

I would say my current "job" would be Demonologist. I have a bunch of text that quotes directly from original text, and translated. I've read through a couple of them, but reading one gives you like, 4 or 5 source books to look up. Message me if you're interested, as I would love to share.
