Now this is just a question, see I'm new to this but I am aware of what works or not, and it is impossible to change DNA.

However, supposing werewolves were real, as odd as it is to seem, perhaps there would be spells that could instead of changing the DNA and form would instead 'awaken' it. For example, someone who was never human in the first place, but instead just awaking the dormant werewolf that they already possess. Would that be changing DNA or would it count as transformation since they appeared human at the start? Just a question.

I would still considered this statement as invalid. The reason being whatever you are born with, that this the genetic coding you contain. To "transform" would still be a type a change in genetic coding. A werewolf is define as a human being transforming into a wolf like formation during the full moon. To alter a human to wolf formation hypothetically would mean convertingthe person's genotype and phenotype.

You cannot be born a werewolf and just need " awakening " to become something that transforms from wolf to human and back again since the very basis of your supposition is false.

I understand that werewolves do not exist. I was speaking in a hypothetical situation, and why this statement is invalid in terms of genetics.
