I need all the information I can get on Rosicrucianism and the Rosicrucianism mystery schools. Both my grandmothers brother and my grandmothers husband (my grandfather) studied this. My grandfather had a mason ring, and I need it but I havent found it yet. There is alot my family hasnt told me, but my mother is starting to tell me everything now. She was told to wait until I turned 16 however I will be in 2 months and it is my time to know everything they have been hiding from me. I do know who I was in my past lives, and that I am also a witch and psychic medium. I have been practicing magick since I was practically a baby. Its in my blood. However I want more answers. The Rosicrucians were a group of mystics, healers and magicians that was formed in the 15th century. They were based on a person reportedlynamed Christian Rosencrux. According to its origin study Rosencruxwas born in Central Europe and traveled extensively. He was initiated into mystery schools in the Middle East, and then returned home to teach others the way of teh RoseyCross. He formed a society of people who taught magical practices with their group. To the outside world, however, they were under oath to only claim to be healers. Nothing more. When Christian Rosencruxdied he was placed in a special tomb built for him. The members of his order lost the location of the tomb. About a hundred years later, it was found with an inscription on it with the exact date that he predicted it would be found. Inside was his body in perfect condition, with no decay whatsoever.
Historically, the documents that explain the order and its origin were published between 1614 and 1617. There were three works, titledthe Fama Fraternitatis RC ( The Fame of the Brotherhood of RC , 1614), the Confessio Fraternitatis ( The Confession of the Brotherhood of RC , 1615), and the Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosicross a.D. MCCCCLIX (1617). After this, there were many that claimed the Rosicrucian tradition. It was incorporated into Freemasonry in the 1600's and 1700's andwas part of the origin of the Golden Dawn and several other orders. As to whether or not these or any other tradition had links to the original Rosicrucians, or even if the original Rosicrucian society ever existed, there is no hard and factual proof. All we have to go by is the histories told in these societies and orders.
There are many groups claiming the Rosicrucian lineage today. The Golden Dawn, BOTA, AMORCand the Rosicrucian Fellowship are the ones that come to the top of my mind. Some of these are similar, some are vastly different. Their common thread is the three books mentioned earlier, which are usually incorporated into their history. SIRA, which is the Masonic branch of Rosicrucanism, is also still active.
Most of these orders will not accept people in under the age of 21, and none that I am aware of will do so under the age of 18. Obviously, with the Masonic societies you must be male, but the others I mentioned do accept male and female members. If you want more information on the Rosicrucians, I would suggest reading the books I mentioned earlier. They can easily be found online with a little digging.
