beginner spell questions

So I have pretty basic questions but I'm just really curious about this because I'm just really not sure.

So how long does it take for a spell to come true? I cast a spell for someone a few days ago and nothing is happening so I guess I'm curious on when things will start happening

I always meditate before and think about and focus on what my spell is about, I always thank the guardians and the gods when I do my spell. I always write my own spells also. I always believe so im just confused. Is there something I'm missing? I guess im just hoping my spell will come true soon enough and im worried.

Did you build a time frame into your spell or did you leave it open ended for the universe to work when it got to it?

Perhaps the spell will require a few more days, weeks or possible months to start to manifest. Patience is your friend.

hmm thats a good thought i didnt place a time. How exactly would I place a time?

depends on what you are doing.

I did an attraction spell for my son, in it I had the phrase "should 'girl' be attracted to 'boy' let her show interest in him within the next moon cycle. This gave a time line for the spell of about 30 days.

I have done spells to see if I am on the right track with a certain thing and have used phrasing like 'if this is for my benefit let me see 'x' as a sign within the next week' or 'If I am not meant to do this give me 3 anxiety attacks about this issue in three days' (don't do that one, very bad for you mental state.)

I did a spell over 5 years ago and that said boy came around over the summer. so yeah time does matter.
