protection spell defeated

i'm in a situation where i warned someone who stole from me that i'd get revenge if he didn't return my things. he has placed protection spells that are hampering me, i've never encountered this before. anyone have suggestions on how to nullify his protections and allow me full access?

I don't know of a way to remove protections, but perhaps a mirror box with a photo of them would help. It would bounce their energy back at them, so perhaps if you throw an item into the box that has justice energy it would get tangled up with their energy and keep going back to them. [High John's Root, ginger, oregano, and chamomile could work]
