1 - Can you apply the practice to Pets or other Animals, or even lets say Deities
2 - What happen for example to get your Soul number you just use the vowels in your name. But what happens if there are no Vowels, does it just default to number "1"
The first question is easy; yes you can. Just remember; The stars (or in this case numbers) incline. They do not compel. And accuracy best resides when you let the impression of your pet inspire the name. Trying to create a name that will build a pet (so to speak) would have little influence as the choosing would be out of tune with the guidance. Names and numbers reflect the people behind them. Not the other way around.
As for your second questioning, This is a bit more involved;
I suppose it depends on what numerology system you are using. I have ot heard of a system only counting vowels though, that is new on me. Most systems I know of use the whole alphabet. Though there are still many layers to consider, and many places to draw numbers from.
Dates of birth and the planets associated with your star sign have value. As does your full given name you received at birth (your first name). Your middle and last name can have secondary influence, but I find those to be less directly related to your energies/personality because the middle name is rarely used in association with a person, and the last/family name is not chosen but in effect inherited.
The first/given name can be seen as something your parents may choose, but that choice is influenced by the impressions and energy of their child. Ever looked at a person you just met, been introduced and thought "Name's Adam? Yup, you look like an Adam. It fits." You hear the name and it feels like it suits the person. As if it describes who they are correctly.
Similarly, a person's most used nickname could also be considered, as it is often more used than a person's given name throughout life and becomes the title that most represents you. For example, common nicknames for 'elisabeth' are 'Betty', or 'beth'. Both are common nicknames, but each leaves a different impression of the person. And each comes out different numerologically.
Similarly, I have actually been finding that a person's chosen online nickname can also be reflective of the person behind it. It makes sense to me. After all we choose a name that we feel represents ourselves, and many people choose one 'main' handle they use for years across their many haunts on the internet. It stands to reason that when a person sits down to choose a name which is destined to become the basis of their identity online it will be one that feels like it resonates.
Here is usually how I tend to recognize the numerical influences of a person's different aspects. Admittedly, largely influenced by Linda Goodman's system she claimed was based in Hebrew Chaldean numerology- then garnished by a large wad of personal gnosis.
-The first given name: Given at birth, the number that comes from your parent's intuition and reflective of your outward self and life influences/predispositions. A snap-shot of yourself at the time of your birth, influenced by your goals and intents for choosing to be born when and where you did. (I take into account the idea of evolving soul/multiple lives)
The middle name: Background/secondary influences. The more subtle, internal characteristics of the Self. Or, perhaps, the 'plan B' of life goals.
The family name: Reflective of collective influences/karma of the past. Influences in effect 'passed down' to you. The family you are born into largely defines a person's formative and developmental years. A thing chosen as a way to create learning, resolve cycles, and set up opportunities for growth- be it through challenges, or through support.
Nickname/chosen name/online nickname: Reflects a person's desires and/or the ideal they are currently working towards achieving. Though it should also be considered within the context of where that nickname is being used. Think of it as reflecting the identity you want to be seen as (and eventually become) through whatever activities that name is being used. (Gaming/play, Spiritual exploration, Social activities, etc)
Birthday, horoscope, and such are still more influences to consider in different ways... but also trying to account for every little context and influence can also make things become overly complex and confusing to the point of undermining the very purpose of why you might be exploring this stuff in the first place.
Just remember, as you explore, that these things are all just mirrors. They are there to show what is there, not to change or create an image of their own. They don't define you. You define them. And, just like in a fun-house, put too many mirrors around yourself and you can have reflections reflecting reflections until you lose track of where you are and what you are seeing. If you keep seeing many images, pick one. They are all you anyways- just from different angles. Find your best one and explore it.
Thank you so much for feedback, I really appreciated the information given. With the details you given I had a aaahaa moment.
Can the First name and second name be swap around. Reason why is because have got the family name - Meaning that we have about 5 family members sharing the same name. All of the then are call/refer to the 1st name where I am refer to my second name(which I use, and is a bit more special for me as it is spell differently then the others due to a spelling mistake at birth and my Mom did not want the same "name" as the other "kids"
The "Nickname/chosen name/online nickname" you mention, just to let you know you are spot on with your descriptions,
Personal opinion would be that if you treat your middle name as your first name (and feel it represents you more anyways) then I would say that yes, I would also treat it as the first name interpretation-wise when you examine your numerology. I guess you could look at it as if you decided to go with 'plan B' this time around!
I must admit my curiosity is piqued slightly as well. You mentioned your first name was spelled wrong when declared? That is interesting to me because I am of the "there are no accidents" school of thought when it comes to life in general. If it was me, I wouldn't be able to resist running the numbers (for lack of a better term) for both versions of the first name. Just on their own. Then comparing what each version comes out as. It could reveal some fun insights- as if fate distracted her from her intent at just the right moment to bring about the 'proper' spelling and make sure it carried the vibration it was supposed to. ...Or, maybe specifically to inspire use of your middle name/plan 'B' goals instead of what you might have done if primarily influenced by your first name instead.
Probably borderline over-analyzing, but I geek out about these things. It's like enjoying candy. As long as you remember that it has little nutritional substance, you can enjoy it on a whim without ruining supper.
I apologize for the double post, but as is true to form I had a fresh thought pop up like a slow-rising bubble after the porridge has come off the heat. (And yes, I am also comparing my mental capacity to that of a vaguely creamy goop *laughs*)
Having multiple family members with the same name is when I would think it most useful to take into account the more additive/background influences of birthdays and star signs. As with paintings you could have two similar images but made by different brushes, so to speak. The proverbial devil would be in the details, but in such a case background influences can really change the meanings behind the images.
Thanks, The miss spelling of the name was for my middle name which I use as my 1st.
I been doing my families genealogy - Looking up names ect. and the name have various spelling but my name spelling never pops up. But like you said I match it with my star sign which "reveals" the true essence of what I think is me.
Ah, I see. I assumed the mis-spelling was onthe first name. But yes indeed, this stuff can be very fun to dive into. At first it can look like a tangles mess of strings from some conspiracy-theorists cork board... but after a while things can come together into an interesting personal narrative.
I've never been able to use numerology as a prediction of my personal future though... I'm not sure if anyone reliably has succeeded in that. But it has been a useful tool in finding context with my past.
I share the same sentiment, I do not use numerology just on it's own.
I use the "Outcome" of the numbers in other parts of my Practice, like my Sigil work and spells. Cause I have notice if I put a bit of my own Flare/Creativity into it, it gives what I am doing at that time extra Ooomf!
i see theres a lot of answers, so i would just add a fun fact...when i tutored one friend and apprentice of mine on the numerology, while we were walking the street, we actually noticed that our surroundings matched numerologically... for example, in front of school there was six speed bumps, 4 ramps at factory entrance, etc etc...
listen to this...take (Pi) for example... after that 3.141592 combination of numbers continues endlessly. so, what does that mean? it means that there is date of your birth hour and second, as well as date of your death written in it, but not only that, well everything is written in it. express this table and chair and whole material universe numerologicaly, and its all written in there! some infinite operation and its course is written in it...but wouldnt it then take place of all other things written there? you could say infinity + something is infinity again, but what if there are other infinities? well there is something called Aleph and sum of alephswhich is sum of those infinities.... i know i got carried but well, there you go something fun and educational about numerology!
