weed / drugs and magick ?

so, is it frowned apon or not ?
is it okay to smoke weed to help you concentrate during your works and stuff
whats up with this and all other forms of what ppl call "drugs"

It helps me concentrate too and help me with my 3rd eye

It's considered Taboo by most of the magickal society, or maybe not so much, but on the forums it is because of younger users, drop me a pm if you ever wanna discuss it, cause not sure if this thread will stay up or be deleted, either way, here is my two cents worth, plants can be used as drugs or tools, using it as a drug will eventually lead to addiction or deterioration of the physical or mental state, but if used as a tool with the right respect it can be a really usefull tool for entering deepr into the psyche and also playing around with higher states of conciousness, but to each their own.

I don't see any harm in using pot. Since all the propaganda about it is all just that, make sure you don't get caught. Weed is good for beginner (teenagers or adults)astral projectors, though i do not condone or use myself. When weed was legal, a lot of witches used to use it to help with focus when it came to astral projection as well as visions and certain rituals.

*gasp* don't you whipper-snappers know marihuana will turn you all into sex-crazed, zombie maniacs!

I use weed also but i do believe that all drugs should be used responsibly and that younger people could be harmed by the use of drugs because your brains are developing and i could hinder your brains functions later in life.you should read what Dr.leary has to say about it;http://www.futurehi.net/docs/8circuit.html

My rule of thumb has always been that when you know you'll be performing magick you should stay clear of mind-altering substances. The clearer your mind is, the more potent the spell will be.

Smoking pot is not something you want to do while doing magick same as you shouldn't do it when you are sick.

Stay away from it as it addles your brain.

ok, i dont know why most people think pot is bad. Even some indians used it! and they were just fine. Tobacco is just as bad :o but the government makes money off it, y not pot?

thats just my thoughts.
