Try to learn to mediate and "find your element" (not literal element). Find what makes you tick. For me, it's healing, and love magick. For you -- it could be healing -- or even hexes! (I don't know you.) Experiment!
I'd suggest finding a good beginners guide to follow like Psychic Witch by Mat Auryn [it's a big one right now] I also enjoyed Rebel Witch by Kelly-Ann Maddox, but that's more for shaping your path and not beginner information [though it does have that in there]
If books are an issue, HearthWitch has her own YouTube channel with a beginner's playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWIrdU1Xu5AWQgOIpEuO6E4b7RiEnj-Fk
As for your energy question, "energy" is another word for "magick" [there are a number of ways to spell magick, but the most common is m-a-g-i-c-k to differentiate real magick from fake magic] Magick is a neutral energy found in nature. On the physical plane, it's ruled by nature, and therefore doesn't contradict nature. Magick brings natural changes. When you cast spells, you charge this neutral energy into your person and direct it on a desired path while casting spells. As we cast, we give it a positive or negative charge. In order for a spell to work, you need energy behind it.
What it'll feel like, it's different for everyone, but the most common is warm, tingly, and when you make psi balls [balls of energy, not visible] you should feel a slight push like two positively charged magnets forcing themselves away from each other. As for positive and negative energy, you typically charge that energy, so you'll feel happy for positive, and mad for negative. If somehow you have a buildup of negative energy, you would feel a heaviness like a soaking blanket on your shoulders, slightly paranoid, nervous, and as if you have a cold coming on, but you never get sick. Daily shielding can protect you from most negative energy you'll encounter and warding/protecting your home should stop any negative spells cast in your direction [this is rare but does happen. I know a lot of witches on TikTok and other social media deal with a lot more because people are jealous and think "I'll show them" and try to curse them. But I assure you 99% of the time, what you fear is a curse is either the normal flow of life or a build-up of negative energy you can fix with a quick cleanse. I've been a witch for over 20 years, and I've dealt with 2 curses. Both of which were quickly solved]
Thank you for these answers. Then I have definitely felt Magic. I wanted to try make a Psi ball, and as soon I put my hand towards eachother, I imagined energy forming. I imagined hand A was Ac and hand B was Dc it took me around 10-15 seconds and the feelings I felt was exactly what you describing it feels like, and now I dont have to imagine energy forming, soon I put my hands up, making a Psi ball I feel directly energy forming, warm, ticklish and electric energy.
Basically, yes. Magick is neutral, it's our intention that gives it a positive or negative charge. You want to use it in a love spell? Think about how love makes you feel. You want to curse someone? Think about how angry they make you feel.
Ok, so I just think about, etc love, how much I love this person and focus this energy into this psi ball, and then release it? Or should I just keep it?
Once I get a hang with how Energy Magic works, I was thinking about Aura manipulation, I will only use white magic, or what I consider white magic is, I hate to see my friends and family sad or stressed. For what I understand I can manipulate feelings with Aura magic? But I need to practice this more. I have seen aura colors few times, but I feel like I really need to concentrate. I tried this on my self. Once I saw white and second time I saw pink.
Again, Im sorry if I asked many questions. I wish I could return the favour teach you something.
Psi balls are step one of spell casting [you've mastered walking, now try running] while they can be used to create things like thoughtforms, the psi ball can be "pushed" into an object for spells. How you charge a candle [or any item] is to make the psi ball, then cup your hands around the candle and put the energy into the candle while thinking of love, luck, or whatever energy you are charging. [there are other ways to use psi balls, but that's how they're used in a spell-casting setting]
I studied auras a decade ago, so I can't be of much help there, but your aura is a natural energy field around you. It grows and changes colour/shape depending on you [blue and close to your body when sad, big and yellow when happy, red and spiky when scared, that kind of thing] it's similar to shielding [and psi balls] where your awareness and intention can manipulate your aura.
Magick is intention, not colour. White and black magick is pop culture ways to categorize magick. Some witches will categorize spells by colours [pink for love magick, green for money magick] many more are discovering the racist history of categorizing spells as black and white, as well as, magick being more complex than a binary. You cast a love spell to get your crush to like you [white magick] but in the process, you take them from the person who was going to ask them out [black magick]
All magick has some consequences, and all magick has some level of harm. You need to look at the entire situation and be fine with the consequences. Take money spells. I cast money spells all the time, usually, job related [the business is slow, my hours were reduced, I have a sudden bill appear] the consequence of the spell is working hard and not relaxing as much. In the moment, I'm fine with that... Until I'm three weeks in, exhausted and stressed and wanting to play a video game to unwind but I'm too tired to care. In this case, I'm doing harm to myself in the short term for long-term gains. I never complain [or if I do I call past me a dope lol] because I know this would be the outcome of a money spell. You need to put in the effort to get the reward. Customers come flooding into my business, but they're not going to just hand me money, I have to do my job and help them.
You're new, I understand having a lot of questions. Witchcraft can be confusing because of how diverse the craft is. You've got religious and non-religious witches. Witches who learned from a book [some good books, some bad] and witches who were taught by their parents. Those who preach love and light and those who swear by the duality of magick. Some use crystals, others herbs, some don't even cast spells. It can be very confusing.
