Okay zexion, I totally agree, but everyone deserves a chance. i am pretty much not siding with this election though because what is the point. Obama will remove us from the war which is needed but risky, and McCain is going to keep us there which is killing thousands of inosent people!
If the candidates want to please people then they are going to have to pull us out of the war. That's all there is to it. I think we sould only stay there long enough to make sure we don't get any little Hitlers. That would be bad. -Catty
Both parties lie. Plain and simple. Neither one does more than the other.
I love to debate politics and can do so without getting pissy.
I'll give you a quick government and economic lesson...
1. When a president takes office, they do not ( contrary to popular belief ) have a magic " screw up america" button at their finger tips. It takes time for anything to take full effect. Bush was in office for a few short months when unemployment rates when up, and somehow he was blamed for it.
2. You want to put blame on somone, you can blame your senate and congress. The president has very little power when it comes to these decisions. He can approve a bill, or veto it. If it is vetoed, it goes right back to where it came from and can STILL be approved with a majority vote.
And for the record, the ones who hold the power to change this countries policies, laws and everything else, are mostly democratic. That means when Bush threw something out there, Dem's also voted for it in order for it to pass.
I do not blame Bush for this war. Sure we can say he finished daddy's job. So? ANd if it is indeed for oil....so? Everyone I know in this country thinking it's a war over oil drive their cars needlessly, so their opinion is worthless to me.
Everyone demanded something be done after 9/11......something was done and now we complain. If something wasn't done, we'd complain. It's a no win situation at all.
Yes, McCain has attacked Obama...and Obama has in turn attack McCain. Personally, I have no time for someone who 1. received the second largest payout to a senator from a company that is now bankrupt. Nor the time to want the CEO who helped PUT the country into an economic turmoil as a finacial advisor for the country. And currently, this is what Obama has done.
2. Who will not take a stance on when a child is a child by saying " it's a pay grade above mine to make that decision". That's not taking a stance, and if you want that paygrade, I suggest you inform me how you feel about it.
3. Someone who has spent what? 30 years in a church that teaches patriotic hate and racism, but then says " oh, I had no idea". Uh huh. Sure.
4. Whose every vote has been purely to prepare himself for running for precidency. He did not vote on everything, nor does anyone else, but what he did vote on just HAPPEN to be hot topics when running for the seat of president. So, his getting into senate has been a plot to run for president. While there is nothing wrong with that, he has NO experience other than TRYING to do nothing but set up his position for running.
Finally, I don't believe in socialism. So, for my lifestlye, he isn't an appropriate choice.
Some real good points Healer. I'm going to delete my previous posts now because I just realized that I MAY have been reading a bit too much of Moby's journal (a passionate democrat) lately which has made me a bit bias. And since that journal is my main source of american politics, I should just shut up hehe. Maybe stick to my own country.
No worries. You probably know more, even from a biased view, than most people in this country who actually have the right to vote lol.
The government here in America does affect other countries as well with certian policies, so really, everyone has a right to be interested and concerned.
I hate Biden...that bastard whas in charge of bombarding my country!!!hundreds of people dead, schools, hospitals!!
When we made it to stand on our feet others like Bush the monkey take Kosovo from us the land of our ancestors!!
So I dont give a damn about american woting I am more woried about people who don t have food to eat and children that lost their fathers!
But one day we will be hapy and worry just about woting!
Some American's do send money and support causes in Africa.
Personally, Africa will not get a dime from me. Sorry. I am more interested in feeding the starving children in this country that the entitlement programs have missed.
