LOL Dark Angel.

This country was founded of freedoms so long as it agreed with the settlers.

This country was founded on hypocracy. And it has lived up to it every day.

Sounds pretty complicated Healer... luckily we have a lawstudent among our midst, right :)

I don't know about all religions, but within christianity, while it is considered wrong, it is also something that should be judged by God, not the people. Within the islamic religion it is even more frowned upon than the first...
Okay, so it does go against some folk's morals, but why make it law? People wouldn't be forced to change their beliefs just because others were doing it.

Oh, and Silver, I'd just marry a girl to prove a point... and I'm not even gay hehe.

Like honestly if the government would just give us Civil Unions with all the benifits of marriage, including federal beifits, I would be fine, but untill then I will keep on fighting.

Aww, don't poke fun of the part time law student =( I can't help I love law and government!

You are right, only God can judge. However, finding someone who does not judge is rare. True Christians and have my undying respect....but rare.

Again, I think gays should marry, divorce, pay alimony and all that good stuff.

But it doesn't matter who votes on these state propositions or which way they vote. It's still not a recognized marriage to the Federal government. They still have to file as single on their taxes and do not get federal benefits should once die.

Anyways, my point was just to not get mad at it becoming a state law. State laws mean jack crap outside the state, and even if it hadn't happened, they still would not have equal rights. That was already determined and made a law before some of the people on this site were even born.

Okay, that is not in the least comforting Healer... But it's bound to change somewhere in the future, right? Wasn't gender equality also prohibited by the federal government once, long ago?

btw, not making fun of you... i think ;)

Tessa shakes her head at demongate!
"Shame on you. I thought you were trying to change, and get a more positive reputation on this site".No need to curse people just because their beliefs are stuck in the Middle ages.

This was sad for me to see as well. they have no business making it okay having tons of folks get married then change the rules.
