Sandalwood, patchouli, and cedar wood incense is used to cleanse. When you use it to help you meditate it helps to clear your mind so that you can meditate on what it is you want to.

Where do you live?

In the Haegtessa tradition we believe in using herbs and plants that are locally grown. I might be able to help you find some local alternatives.

I live in Rangely Colorado. It would be magnificent if you could tell me some alternatives. I think it would be much more fulfilling if I used localy grow herbs. And especialy if I gathered them myself. ^_^ If nothing else, tho, I can just order them.
And, what is eyebright? Is that the comon name? I can feel my third eye, and it kind of hurts. I think if I can open it up, it might feel much better.

Eyebright's botanical name is Euphrasia. It is used medicinally to treat infections of the eye and magically to aid in clairvoyance.

You can find herbs at local shops check out this link to find other local pagans and places to buy supplies.
