Well, unless you show them how unfavourable and karmically bad, and "evil" things work in a SAFE lessons, then they won't necessarily know when they go "wrong" or in your opinion, evil things.
Of course, unless people know what determines evil and good, curses usually aren't an urge to mature people.
wait.....wait.....are you actually serious? I thought wicca was love for all things. I am a deep beliver in black magick and seriosuly why would we ban it from the site. The last part of the rede says "an it harm none do what ye will" If you ban Negative or "evil" magick its harming us becuase most wont be able to learn.
You can never trueley ban black magick because people will still want to use it. The people wanting to hex/curse others are also the people that believe they are vampires and werewolves and mermaids! they are F-A-K-E.
most of us who truly delve into the more selfish arts teach only those who are mature enough. we dont randomly hand out "curses"....and when we teach its more along the lines of teaching someone to shoot a gun, and then telling them to only use it in case of emergency's.
who is ANYONE to tell another what they can and cannot learn.

I can see where you are coming from PurpleIsis but it would not work like Sir_Prize says you can learn how to prevent them. But with magick and newbies to it in genenral when a new member comes here it is guaranteed the first thing they look for is black magick. Yeah that is bad but it helps them learn and of the few I know they learned about black magick done a couple of spells after a while if they were serious about magick they continued their journey if not they left. Some continue with black magick it is their choice and their journey at the end of the day there isn't a moderater here who could decide which magick another should study.They would only look somewhere else.
well if we ban negtive magic then we got to ban postive magic as well and befor ever one jumps to the seat on that its true

so we cant ban negtive with out banning the postive then we just get healing spells left as healing can heal both good and evil people and we have to get rid of defence magic as there be nothing to defend agest

I feel most covens here practice the "harm none reed." I haven't noticed any that talks against it. I did manage to se the threats on some peoples bios.
These guys must either be immature, feel like they have something to prove or scared of something.
