Problem with casting

Thats what I am trying to say.Wind spells/weather spells we cant easily see if our spells are working or not.It could be either our spells are working or it could be "natural wind" from nature itself.

Well to start off, some spells, depending on the caster, won't have immediate effects. Also, I want you to try reading some psionic, and energy manipulation articles before venturing into magick. I recommend this to all my beginners because psionics is easier to proove to one's self, and will give you a generally good understanding of things like visualization, conceptualization, etc. Also, it's good if you encounter a psychic vampire. Now as far as magick, make sure that you are using a great amount of intent, and visualization. I recommend practicing every night the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram found on spellsandmagic.com it's a great beginner spell, and it has some yummy side effects such as enhancing one's abilities

AND I wouldn't recommend trying the faery ritual, because A) It's way too advance for a beginner B) It could backfire SOOOO bad and C) If your faery dies you die. Which isn't fun. Tho I personally wouldn't mind knowing if it was real, and how faeries work, tho I'm not taking that chance myself, and NEVER intend on doing that spell ^^.

Meditation is about thought flow not clearing your mind of all thought. Thoughts come in and they go out, or lead to another. You do not think about a thought for more than a few seconds during meditation.

If you want to cast a spell you need to meditate before hand to "plug yourself in". First you need to be meditating to gather energy, this would be grounding and centering. After you are done then you start to meditate on the spell. What it is that you want from the spell, what actions you are going to take while you preform the casting, and you will also get an idea if the spell will be successful.

A lot of people think that in order to meditate properly you need to clear your mind of all thoughts.

Unless you are planning to be a buddhist monk, it really isn't necessary.

You also need to practice your meditation looooooong before attempting to do a spell since you need to learn to not only gather your energy, but focus it and in some instances teach yourself how to visualize what it is you are willing your energy to do.

As a side note, after you've learned the basics of energy manipulation, and are still curious about wind control, I'd suggest you learn more about aerokinesis.

As the others have said,meditation is a key,but not the only key.You do need to gather energy ,and focus that energy,for that you need visualization.You need to be able to visualize the outcome your looking for,or see your spell working.Then you have some where to focus the energy youve gained.
Many people are so adapt at this that they fail to recognize it as a step,others fail at first, because they are never able to visualize a successfull outcome.
