According to Christianity,God doesn't restrict certain people from believing what they want to believe, he gives them choice. You choose not to believe in God or a higher being
Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all based from the teachings of Abraham. They all worship the same god, but call him by a different name. I think you have access to Heaven so long as you worship that god, but the way each religion has been twisted around to say completely different things is a flaw by humanity. And think about it: Islam is divided by Sunnis and Shiites, and Christianity is divided by Catholics and Protestants. I wouldn't go so far as to say that all Catholics are going to Heaven and all Protestants are going to Hell, because that's ridiculous. They worship the same god, and both groups even call him God.
Belief in a higher being can only go so far, and I believe that is what ultimately decides if a man goes to Heaven or Hell or reincarnates in the next life. Every other little nitpicking, irrelevant detail of religion are left for humanity to decide/argue.
Because in many modern religions, there is only THEIR religion, all other religions is from their antagonist, based on this statement: "If it is not from God, then who is it from?"
Saying all other religions, for religions with the Devil as their scapegoat, everything other than their religion is false, misleading, and not holy.
But here's my argument. Everything is from God, if God did created all of us.
Why?
God created the Devil, therefore, the religions that the Devil supposedly created is from God as well.
It's like the ultimate source of energy for us, is from the Sun, well most of it anyway..
It clearly says in the bible that if you do not accept Jesus as your savior and God as the creator of the Universe you will burn in hell for eternity. In the past, I was a Christian, mainly because it was pushed onto me in school. I was told God created the earth from a very young age and I was brain washed, which is like most people these days. But then when I got older, more mature, and a hell of a lot more intelligent I finally realized that life isn't a happy fairy-tale with magic dust and ponies, and hopefully you'll realize that one day.
I think the main reason people believe in God these days is because everyone is scared, scared of evil, scared of terrorists, scared of death. I can't blame them for being scared but it seems everyone clings onto Christianity because of their fears, because apparently he rids of evil. The main reason though being that people are scared of death and they want life after death so they also cling onto Christianity since it comforts them believing they will continue living after this life.
Religion, no matter what faith it is or who you are worshiping, gives the follower a sense of hope, belonging and love. With that, I can find no fault.
Just because you do not believe in one persons religious views does not give anyone here the right to call someone wrong, blind, mislead or anything else.
NONE of us have proof that our way of thinking is correct. We only have faith and trust. Nothing more.
It sounds to me like the pot is calling the kettle black on this moot point. I can't see the difference with followers of any other religion and the brainwashing from a satanic cult brainwashing its followers. Both are equally being told what do. Both are hailing and following a course of action. I fail to see where the two differ.
