to add on... a Book of Shadows is basically a dairy or jounral of your journey/experience in magick. It is a symbol for the wiccan religion as far as i know and it is used in covens and such to record spells, rituals, techniques, theories and basically everything to do with magick that they use... A Book of shadows can be personalized to a specific person or to a coven.
