I'm just starting to get the feeling that when someone does anything like this to anyone, it's best not to repley or even act like you care about what they said. In some cases it might be different but if and when someone says anything hatefull, it's best just to say "Look. I know you're upset but your actions are not the best way to solv your problem" and then move on. It doesn't help to argue. It just makes the battle longer and harder to fight. Not to mention a bit more pointless.
