This is well done I say. I agree with most of it because I had a few friends that said they were werewolves and vampires. I keep on asking them to prove it so I can see something cool and they never did. In fact they avoid showing any sign but yet keep on saying how much of a vampire they are. I take it that a lot of people that were like them acted like this. If their are real vampires then they won't really show themselves that fast and quick just to make someone smile. And I do find it weird that all the people that say they are vampires are in their teens...

I'm tired of kids claiming to be vampires, demons and wolfs.
It's all thanks to Twilight for creating this horrible effect.

Oh this happened long before Twilight.

Plus, you can't really blame an author for the over imaginations of children who lack parental supervision.

Heck, its prob been going on ever since Buffy, Angel, Charmed, and any other TV show. The worst part is, as the yrs go on it seems people become more delusional and attached to the idea of fantasy being real.

What ever happened to the good old days where peoples imagination was stimulated by books, instead of over stimulated all the time through TV, Internet, Movies, Video games, and so many other electronic devices deterorating the kids mind at such an early age.

For example: My stepbros play Call of Duty on the PS3. In short its a kill or be killed military game. Yet even though the rating is something like M for Mature cause of the violence and all, when I mentioned this to my 13 yr old stepbro, he was llike 'Oh its not violent'. I've played that game, and not only are you shooting people with all sorts guns, greneds, and such, but its graphic too.

It seems like kids these days don't know real from fantasy or have become conditioned to see things that once was an extreme, now as a norm.

Roleplaying has its part though, after all whats more fun then going into a game like WoW, MapleStory, or any of the other RPG games and becoming that character for a while.

And for the record, everyone on this site is a roleplayer(heck everyone in the world is one). Heres what I mean: we all become a different character throughout our daily lives. At work, at school, while we are working our magick, and so on. Each has a different side to ourselves, a different character that we change into in each situation. Heck, to some, our very choice of religion/lifestyle could be all make believe/unreal/a role.

So before we all go jumping to conclusions as to the roleplaying situation, and instead try to understand where they're coming from, why they think such things, and why they insist on making others believe they are as such. When it comes down to it, most are all just trying to appear 'cool' or get attention of some sort. And with so much of todays society being online, where better to go then a forum of some sort.

Glim

If they do want to be cool around the site, then they just need to be themselves and talk a bit what others want to talk about and we need to let them talk a bit what they want to talk about. The whole roleplaying thing isn't that bad, but maybe later on in the future when those roleplayer's go out to the world, Like I said my friends around here say they are what they aren't, And tell other people that they are into magick... That will give us a bad name Not that we don't already have one but they will just keep that bad name on top of us.

Magick is about knowing who you are. If they believe they are really what they are not then they might never move on because they might believe they are strong enough to handle High Magick or anything else that takes years of magick to do without it backfiring on you.

See the thing is, you can't be something that has not been created yet.

I agree with what you said about being "cool", 4321.

It seems these role-players just want to show off and fabricate a divine life just to impress people.

Well one thing I've notice on this site is that true, legitimate knowledge, experiences, dedication to studies, and the very will to learn usually is the most impressive... or at least to those who are serious about it all.
There are still those who are role-players and fall for their own tricks, finding the same lies told by other just as impressive which unfortunately- is the route of it all; role-players competing with role-players for the next big story and adventure.
The competitive nature of humanity I suppose is what generates role-playing.

Sad really. :|

Demon... It is quite possible to be considered a demon (not by blood but by rituals and gaining their trust)
Elf... (same as Demon)
