Personally, I think that everyone should calm down. Just because wendy happened to post a spell that offends some people, doesnt mean he should be ostracized. As a matter of fact, I congradulate you, wendy, on having the courage to post a spell that you knew might offend people, and I think that the people who have problems with this spell *cough* the moderators *cough* should back off and not worry about it. How many of them have stepped in the toes of others with their beliefs and opinions? And yet, here they are, downing one of those who they should be helping. Shame on them.
Well luckily, just as you are allowed to have an opinion on the matter, so are Mods.
I disagree with posting revenge spells in the public forum as well. Frankly, it's like giving a bottle of cyanide to a 5 year old, telling them to make sure they know what theyre doing with it and walking away taking no personal responsibility for what happens afterwards because..well..gee, I said figure it out. They should have listened.
if you have gone to all the trouble of making goofer dust then why bother with a casting? sounds like spending an hour to make a cake then not eating it. i know i'm coming into the topic late here like always but seriously????
He is right though , Goffer dust has a specific way of deployment and use, and it is not used to dress candles, rarely even on effigies.
What is aslo bad about the spell is it that mixes traditions/systems that have nothing incommon ( being Wicca and Conjure )
I will once again state no need for not posting harmful spells , but there are spellbooks for this , doing this in forums ( not discussing , but actually just posting spells ) is a form of advertisment and Moderators have actually been very kind for not deleting the thread and perhaps taking further measures against the one that made thread. So instead of flaming on their critics I would rather be silent and grateful :D
Who am I to decide what is right and wrong for another person. Crap! sometimes I have trouble figuring out my own path. Much less to sit and decide what’s right and wrong for another. Yes, I have my own set of ethics that I live by. The spells one chooses to do are none of my business. We all have lesson to learn in our time here. Just because something is not what I would do, doesn’t make it wrong for another person. No matter how I feel about it. no one is better than anyone else. If you feel you are, that’s okay too. I practice what I believe, and I believe other’s have a right to practice what they believe. Live and let live.
Wrong and right is not that simple. The only thing you have control over is how you live your life and what you create around you. If you find you don’t believe in something another person is doing. Walk away, if it bothers you that much. Or try to find out why they feel that way and offer your feeling on the matter. Making them see it your way is not the goal. Forcing your belief system on others could be seen as wrong.
I only know what feels right inside of me. Life seems easier to handle when I only look at myself and try and make myself a better person.
