Ask her about Moses striking a rock and getting water;the burning bush; the plagues of Egypt; the parting of the Red Sea. Ask her about Jesus turning water into wine, and all the other miracles.

Every day a Catholic priest turns bread into the body of Christ. He actually says the words "This is my body". These days he will say the words in his own language; when I was a Catholic it was in Latin,"Corpus Christi". Perhaps your mother will then come to realize that she, too, believes in magic.
