How'd you discover magic?

actually i am able to see thing which i shoudent so many of elders told to ignore it so i started to read book and surf on site thats how i entered this world.

I'll be honest with my answer before, my curiosity was triggered when a rumor in school about a girl who believes in magic and is a Wiccan began.
I didn't know what to believe because I didn't know people actually did spells or magic for real. I searched up some things and found Wicca.

Then I started reading about it and then I stumbled on this site.
ever since then I take magic seriously and I promise not to use it to hurt people or mess with them.

Since I was as young as I can remember, I have always felt it, and been curious by it. In middle school, I would ditch class, and go to the main library downtown to read about witchcraft, and magic. Then, in high school, a friend gave me a book of candle magic. I casted spells, just to cast, for no reason. I believe I unententionally invited a dark energy, because I couldnt sleep in my room without a very uncomfortable pain in my stomache. I never casted again. Recently, 13 years after all that, I have been drawn to it again. But this time, now that im older, I have decided to be very careful, and learn as much as I can about protection, and sending out only positive energies like love, and healing. =)

How i discovered magic is that I was a victim of dark magic which kept me sick for years.medical science was of no help.I was treated by a spiritual healer and I got my life back.Since then I was drawn to magic and i deciced to practice it to help and heal people...

I've always been very sensitive to the spiritual world. Even as a young child I could see and hear spirits and it used to scare me. I was targetted by many malevolent spirits. Living in a 100 year old house built on the grounds that a burned down church and moved cemetary does that. My mother used to have me hold her pendulum as she cleansed the house when I was only six. I was always taught about the power and awe of nature. I had a huge obsession with gemstones and collected them and memorized all their meanings. I remember at 6 I found a chrysacolla that I still have to this day that began my fascination. I would have my mother and the woman who owned a metaphysical shop we visited often explain to me their uses.

My step father was abusive to my mother and she would glare at him, which would give him a great deal of ill luck for the rest of the day. I would laugh and it was all very normal to me. I was homeschooled, so I had quite a lot of time on my hands to read. I loved mythology and read everything I could. At 9 I became interested in symbols which led me to the runes at 13. My mother already gave me her Waite deck and I knew cartomancy as well. I didn't know much about ritual magick, my mother always did folk magick, but I began to inherit the glare my mother had. However mine did far worse things. I couldn't control it, anytime I was angry and had a thought and said it outloud, it came true. So I realized that I needed to learn to harness it before I severely hurt someone. I began to meditate and learn to control my energy...and my thoughts.

I intiated myself as a solitary witch at the age of 16, when I was confidant of my knowlege. And now, 10 years later, I'm here.

That about sums it up.

I think I was drawn to it, I don't know how but when I was young I had a weird imagination, like I used to think I could control the weather. lol and when I got older I kind of got more fascinated and started learning about magic.

I loved the public library as a child. I wouldn't stay in the children's section and brought home books on palmistry, hypnotism, handwriting analysis, and strange spell books they actually did have in the children's section. I had and still have a friend that taught me "it's all in your mind" and somehow I learned to harness my own energy. I just have problems controlling my energy. :)

I have always been Wiccan from a very small children, magick has always been in my life and I have always forward the wiccan ways.
but for a very long time I was on my own working with my magick,
And thinking that I could do everything on my own, it was my family that said to me one day that it would be good for me to find other's that I could talk with and if I need help with anything I didn't know about, I have looked at other website ad find that there were not what I was looking for until I find this one and I feel so very much at home here with all of your's.

I've always been fascinated by stories with magic in them but also have been somewhat of a nerd. Eventually I made the connection between magic and physics and decided to study more. So i used the mystical powers of Google to search the web for knowledge. And here i am, 12 years old, and after four years of study i found this site and things really took off with people who are nice and some who aren't but mostly just a good environment to learn more about magic.Really it just sort of happened.
