How To Use Your Wand

You did a nice job however I feel I should point out that this is only one way to use a wand. I understand you read up on many various sources but I think people tend to overcomplicate the wand.

I think that most of this information is just a tool in itself to condition yourself to make a bond and channel through it. But the minute you give any object a name and begin to give it commands you are telling yourself that it is alive and has intelligence. Allowing any of your energy to have "independence" or "life" can result in it reacting in a way that you don't want later in the future. Our mind is a powerful thing. A witch's thoughts create. A witch's will manifests. And if a witch treats their wand like a seperate entity, it will begin to react like one.

Finally, an intelligent comment! However a criticism this may be. 1) What exactly is a spell? And how does one cast one? Is it not also a tool to manifest one's desire? It is the same way that I have stated about the use of a Wand. One uses their desire/emotional energy to focus, direct and propel or cast a spell. This gives "life or independence" to a spell once it is cast. Whatever you think, this is so. If this were not so then, spells would not work nor reach the Universal Grantor of wishes. And I don't see spells becoming so animated they come back and bite us. Unless of course it harms one. "An it harm none, do as you will." Wiccan Rede.
2) Also, what would one actually think when holding and using a Wand? Do you mean to say one does not think or does not have or does not use any kind of thought when trying to use a wand? One DOES think of something when they wave their wand around or, do they simply make a wish? A wish is a thought, it is a desire, a desire is propelled by emotions. Thereby, an emotional energy is the logical fuel to use when using a wand. Nothing complicated here. Just think of a strong desire while waving your wand(Swish-gathering energy, focus one's thoughts), state your spell (directs the Wand) then, flick-send it out to the Universe. E-Z, P-Z. Just like you stated one "conditions" oneself (prepares the spell), "makes a bond"(focusing, gathering one's emotional energy while wielding and waving a Wand or, states the spell with a strong desire if not using a Wand and still one has to gather their energy by focusing on a powerful emotion) then, "channels" sends, propels or "Flicks" the spell out onto the Universe. Exactly the same way I have discussed in using a Wand.
3) When one chooses and buys a wand or crafts one out of a wooden stick or metal, one has already begun to "personalize" their Wand as soon as one picks one out or crafts one. Many wandcrafters suggest one personalizes theirs by carving one's initials, runes or, decorate one to one's individuality. Some even suggest using one's saliva or a little of one's blood to rub on the Wand to individualize it. Why is this so? Is there something in the Wand one wants to befriend? Is it to bring something out of the Wand you think? And why is there different magickal characteristics to different types of woods say Oak or, Willow or, Hazel? Magickal characteristics? Hmmm., Is there something in the wood already? And, what about the difference between wood and metal as a Wand? You see, we are already as humans trying to identify and classify or giving our personal bias to these inanimate objects. In this manner we try to "personalize them." "Yea, I see how you are." Ever heard of this statement? Also, we give names to our pets, we give them love and attention, our emotional energy. They are separate entities. I see them as our faithful companions and, I don't see them as very bright. I was in the US Air Force as a Patrol Dog Handler. I went to a Military Working Dog School at Lackland, AFB in San Antonio, TX. I learned dog psychology as one of my military classes, so I could know the reason why a dog learns. The most intelligent a Dog can get, and there is scientific evidence to this; is a 4 year old human's brain. A Wand would be the same faithful companion and not very bright. As long as you don't kick the dog (haphazardly use and damage a Wand)It's like a good soldier ready and willing to accept any commands even at their peril. You are giving the Wand too much credit here. Also, what about Dolls or, Teddy Bears? Those are personalized, given names and, talked to and given attention to. There is much emotional energy given to them. I don't see them becoming animated and spilling their little secrets on a talk show about their owners or for that matter, attacking their Masters. The Wand is not the "Evil Monkey!" Beyond this, as practitioners of making spells, charms, talismans, amulets, witch bottles doesn't one pour their mental energy into them? Isn't this to animate or give "life" to the object to do what it is specifically supposed to do?
You see, I am simply showing the many curious people out there who are naiive about the actual use of a wand or who never came across the information that I have nor, could not find any information on how to use their wand clearly, step by step in a simple non-complicated way. I am describing exactly how to actually use a wand and very briefly I might add, like no other has done before. Do you want your Wand to work? Does anyone want their Wand to work? Do you want to know how the Wand can work? Well, now you know a method on just how your Wand works. And when you command and channel your desire into the Wand then send it out, guess what, that energy WAS
4) If you already know how to use a wand or figured it out. Good for you. Many have not or, want exactly how to find out how to use a wand. There is scarce information out there on this very interesting subject. And last of all, this is a forum to post what we know or are curious about finding out. Which is exactly why I wrote this. You know I could have stayed quiet about this subject and just let people bungle through and find out for themselves.

Oops! I pressed a wrong key by mistake somehow and posted this too soon. The last sentence to part 3 of my response to WhiteRav3n was cut off. It ended with "WAS." So, it goes like this; And when you command and channel your desire into the Wand then send it out, guess what, that energy WAS THERE. It is long gone now. The Wand has now reverted to its dormant state.

And lastly, why is it that people think they are intelligent when they criticize someone's hard work? This really proves to me that these people "wished" they had thought about this work first and proposed it. It takes boldness to come up with new ideas and present them to the public. To me, cynical criticism is simply stupidity showing its ugly face. I welcome questions, comments, constructive thoughts but please, show some civility, not your jealousy.

I do know how to use a wand Lonestar, and trust me, I am not "jealous" in the least. I actually said that it was a nice method for some, not all, and I explained why I felt that way.

But people bought them because they were in a small wooden crate with some straw I think. Anyway, They were special, unique, conversation starters. Consider your Wand like this."

When you consider something having a life of its own (as all beings do) you will inadvertantly give the energy its own personality. You are practically creating a servitor in a wand! And everyone knows, servitors can get out of hand if not handled properly. I personally would never allow my tools to "grow a brain" by giving them the a thought of being alive. They are tools, nothing more, nothing less. I cleanse them, charge them, send my energy through them, and that's the end of our relationship. Stones already have life in them, but this is the sort of life that should just be respected, it still doesn't need conversation.

You can think all you want to about me and my comment. But I am just looking out for inexperienced practioners who may blame themselves for spells not working or the energy not flowing properly, when it was their "living" wand getting out of control or becoming tempermental.

I thank your for your 2nd response. You have actually dignified my work. However, in considering living entities, servitors specifically; I have seen kids and pre-teens(and both these groups have very strong clear naiive imaginations), play with various Dolls and TeddyBears. They pretend real life so clearly, that motivations on inspiring themselves later on arise out of this play-time of "back in the day." Actually these two groups have better imaginations than Adults do. Of course, as Adults, we have the discipline to focus our imagination, our mental energy. However, I have not heard of any Doll nor TeddyBear nor seen any Doll nor TeddyBear become animated nor haunted (except in Hollywood Spooky Movies or, in Warehouse 13 the TV series in the SyFy channel).
Also, pets are individual entities. We name them, personalize them, offer much energy to them and, I don't see them growing or, turning into monsters. If treated well, the most they will be is faithful house-trained companions and not very bright. After all, they will still have their basic animal instincts. Their Karmic cycle will not improve another level of intelligence during this present cycle of their lives.
The same with Wands. They are in a very low level of their Karmic Cycle. They will not jump significant levels of intelligence during this Karmic Cycle in their current make-up. The most they can be is faithful companions, not very bright. Beyond this, Servitors are created as simple life forms. Wands are created as tools. Even though we energize our wands to do our bidding (cast our spells). Hey, you do that too. So, whether you like it or not, your Wand already has your signature, your energy within it, because you use it. There is a fine significant line here. My instructions maybe similar to the creation of a Servitor (I really have little knowledge of this subject. Only enough to know how they are created and used) but this is where the similarity ends. Again. You are giving too much credit to the Wand in their evolvement of their Karmic Cycle.
Also, my instructions are no more than child's play. A child would show more imagination and spend more time with a Wand than an Adult would. Haven't you seen "YouTube?" There are many videos of kids using their Wands. In fact, I would wager that there are more than 25,000 pre-teens that currently own and play with a Wand. Most or all of them do not know specifically how to use their wand. "Wait 'til they get a load of me!" Jack Nicholson as "The Joker" in one of the first "Batman" Hollywood Movies.

Great post. I agree with WhiteRav3n on some points however. :)

Your wand should be a part of you- like a extended finger, in most. It helps with energy channeling if you think of it this way. I do think a lot of people overcomplicate the wand, and should just stick to the basics.

As a high priestess, a lot of students come to me asking me for help on wands. And usually, that is what I give them reguarding how to use their wand. Except in a lot of more detail, of course!

However, you stated " Except in a lot of more detail, of course!" Did you mean to state My work is simplified on just the instructional part of how to use a wand? I meant that. Did you mean you give more detail on the buying, choices, construction, consecrating, charging parts? What I have done and published, as clear cut information on how to use a wand, no one has done. Either it is a mystical secret that "muggles" should not know about or, the actual instructions have been lost through the ages and only a select few actually know how to use a wand and, no one really knows any clear cut method of how to use their wand. Many just "think" they have a fairly good idea on how to use a Wand. By trial and error. And many, use part of my instruction "instinctively." I have de-mystified these instructions. It took me 7 or more years to go over much vague material including; "Wandlore, Power And Practice, A Complete Guide To The Wizard Wand, Principles Of Wizardry - Volume One" by "The Wandmaker" with Annette M. Musta and "Enchantments, An Introduction To Spells, Charms, Curses, And Incantations, Principles Of Wizardry - Volume Six" by "Euphemia Laib" and "Powell Quan" with Annette M. Musta. These books are besides all the other Books, personages, websites and, material I have mentioned previously. None, except one, came close, to my clear cut instructions. And that would be a small ll page, inexpensive ($5.95 I think) E-Book just recently published that I purchased and really inspired me to finally come up with my own clear cut instructions from my own analytical insights and notes over many years, and this the book; "Wand Class In The Castle" by "Catherine Avizinis." I AM NOT PROMOTING HER BOOK! Again; I AM NOT PROMOTING HER BOOK! She simply has done a better job than others in writing out a clear cut method of instruction just as I have. There is no other clear cut instruction on just how to use your wand here in this website, which means to me, people are silent about this because they really do not know how to use one. If they did, an article or a thread would have been already published on this specific subject "How To *U S E* Your Wand!" For that matter this also applies to the entire internet. If someone disagrees or objects to my statement, they are liars or, I challenge them to come up with a reference that comes close to my clear cut instructions. I maybe wrong but, I doubt this. Because I have researched many years, months, days, hours, trying to find any information on the *USE* Of A Wand. NOT THE CREATION NOR CRAFTING OF A WAND, NOT THE CONSECRATION, CLEANSING NOR, CHARGING OF A WAND! There is much information on those subjects.
