I'm neither Satanist nor Christian, but I might point out that if you step outside of the dogma of having one god or another help you out, you'll see that every path describes a God, or a divine force, that is a part of everything. To my experience what you call it is just a cause for argument, and usually based on whatever the books you've read or the person who taught you told you to call it.

Certainly there are spirits that can aid us and guide us. Certainly there is much to be gained in exploring the teachings and wisdom of various paths, but I have not seen anyone who swayed in a specific direction out of fear, zealous passion, anger, etc. touch upon a true balance, or a true peace.

Seek divinity within through balance, and you'll see divinity without in peace, without fear, bitterness, or any such petty emotion.

And frankly... The names people apply to it after that won't begin to matter any more.
