Read everything in the articles section of the site, then try and go expand on those topics addressed. Find some books, online pdf's, whatever. Just improve, and study :)

basics with magic as in spells, or as a whole?

magic is energy and it's all around us. you need to be able to charge and ground yourself before you should cast. the whole walk before you run thing. meditate, you will get your answers. meditation can also help you cleanse your aura and charka's which will balance you, and help with your spells as well. try feeling the energy flowing in your own body. something my boyfriend and i do is place our hands a few centimeters apart [our own hands, not from each others hands] and feel the energy passing between our hands.

once you feel ready, you can try to cast. while there are no beginner spells, i always tell people to look into candle magic, because it can be very easy, to complicated depending on how much you need. for a basic spell though you need to charge your energy, have the right coloured candle, and focus. these things are key in magic actually; the right ingredient, enough energy, and focus. once you're finished, be sure to ground the excess energy, a build up in your body can be a bad thing. blessed be.
